Kitchen Appliances.

So i am moving soon and the new place has old and beat up stove, fridge, dishwasher. It also has a otr microwave that i would like to replace to save counter space.

Would love to see some suggestions as to what to look for etc. Here is what I would like.

Fridge - freezer bottom drawer, no ice / water dispenser.
Stove - smooth top electric, convection?
Dishwasher - quite.

Also, should i shop as a package or individual pieces?
Do the various places remove the old equipment when they deliver new?

Not sure what to suggest but..... Stay far far far away from Samsung appliances! I wouldn't recommend the Frigidaire either. Our new house came with Frigidaire and it all looked cheap.
For dishwasher the best bang for buck would be Bosch (series 300 or 500).

You should also mention what your budget is before getting recommendations.

I love the french door fridge with the freezer drawer on the bottom. This is just the best thing. :)

I'm not looking for exact models. More like what have you learned while shopping yourself and what, why would you do things differently.

For an OTR I would suggest getting the slim models (whirlpool or kitchen aid). Costco carries the whirlpool in store if you want.

Dishwasher, go with Bosch. For quality and being quiet.

Stove top, go with induction if you value time.

Moving into a new house shortly and went with all Bosch, except for the aforementioned OTR.

I believe Costco has the whole whirlpool line in warehouse, might be your best option

If timely delivery is important look for in-stock items. I bought a fridge and stove in February, still waiting.

As others have mentioned, Bosch or Miele for dishwasher, and almost anything else EXCEPT for Samsung for fridge and stove.

Before you go gangbang on appliances. You need to measure max and current size of the opening for the fridge. Make sure the appliances can get in the spots, doorways.

Stay away from Samsung (break down pre- maturely), LG (hard to find parts) appliances

We just bought matching Maytag range and french door fridge, bottom freezer, no ice/water. Love them both for looks and function. The whirlpool OTR microwave matches the stove perfectly and its what I'm looking at getting next. It has hidden buttons that you dont see until you open the door, gives it a real sleek look.

Bought the stove first after returning a Frigidaire, it was bulky and build didnt feel solid. The Maytag fit in perfectly and feels solid. We just got the matching fridge a couple of months ago, replacing an old style top freezer. No idea how I lived with that for so long. Very happy with both of them.
That's my 2cents worth
