Currently on BYOP 12GB $60.00 plan with friends and family discount.

$48/12GB

Wouldn't mind getting more data as my workplace doesn't have WiFi and am always at 90%~ of my data cap at the end of my cycle.

How could i capitalize on this promo?

** just checked the online self serve and its giving me an option for $50/5GB. If I were to downgrade the plan and text the promo I'd be able to add it on? $50/5GB + $15/10GB add on, with the friends and family discount?
How did you get that?

I got the text as well. I have ~$185 tab balance owing, and my usage is also quite minimal (50% usage w/ 12 days remaining). Might just jump on the 4GB offering and get 10GB for $50/mth

Off topic but somewhat related, those who wish to pause their add-ons can try and call in to do so, save yourself a bit of cash for the next couple months while you are not using your data at home. I was able to get $15 removed off my account for the time being.

I changed my plan to $35 / unlimited mins + text yesterday and also was unable to add on $15/10gb.

I spoke with a rep today and found out that the promo is only available on plans which already have data.

Just a headsup to everyone so they don't jump the gun as I did. LOL

I am currently on the $60/12GB a month plan with no tab. My understanding is if I switch tot he $35 pay per use plan, wait 20 minutes then accept the offer that I received I would be at the $50/10GB.

Besides the OP has anyone else had success with this?

Did you get this when you replied to the text?

Koodo: Sorry, we're temporarily unable to add this add-on to your account. Please try again tomorrow. Visit koodo.com/selfserve to check out other plans.

I had a $45 8gig with1000 long distance which I had as an extra line managed to get downgraded to 25 unlimited cad, calling and text worldwide mms with 2gig. Once the Covid is over... and better tumes ahead, the kind supervisor said I could get back $45/ 8gig....

lol. I never qualify for these things. 8Gb/$40 plan and use most of my data.

I probably wouldn't use another 4 or 10GB, but Koodo sure could make some extra $ if they offered it to me, because I'd be highly likely to accept.

Either they're looking for total suckers (who never use the data they have, but will upgrade anyway), or they don't ACTUALLY want this marketing attempt to work. Lame.

I'm in the same boat as others. I have the $60/10 GB plan and no Tab on my account. Anyone else in my shoes been able to switch to the $35 Unlimited Talk+Text & PPU Data and get this add-on?

The $35 plan does have pay-per-use data though. Do you have a tab on your line? Were you able to go back to your old plan?

Doesn't it have "pay-per-use data"? You do have data, you just have to pay for it as you use it. All of their plans have PPU or Shock Free data.

Did you get this in writing from the Supervisor (switch back)? or was it verbal? or was it "noted" in your Account?

From my experience, once you change plans, there's no going back to what you had. Maybe things have changed. (not for the better)

Wanted to add that I got the same reply as BillyP. I ended up with $45/4GB + $15/10GB = $60/14GB. Coming from $60/10GB I am slightly ahead...

Couldn't you first do the $45+$15/10GB and then downgrade to $35+$15/10GB later?

Looked like Koodo caught on. In the past you could use the data add on for the $25/$35 talk and text plans with no data.
