Honestly, $5 for an extra 3GB is a no-brainer to me but if you're finding yourself never even getting close to 5GB, then it's worth going with the cheaper plan.

In my household, while we don't travel all the time, when we do, everyone tethers off me. Those days, we chew up a lot of data, so the extra 3GB is worth it just for my peace of mind.

I don't think the cheaper plan is "less likely" to get a price increase. I figure they'd all be subject to that possibly.

If I am porting using this offer in a store, can I still use the referral code or is that only when doing it online?

Someone can confirm, but I believe you need to get the referral, register your e-mail then go activate in store.

Yes, use a referral link to submit name and email address before you go to store. Use same email address when you sign up in store. After all set and activated, go to the referral email Koodo sends you and enter your ported phone number to complete the referral process.

Glad that I switched to Public Mobile in July. Got same text and signed up for $35/month plan with 5GB data. Can someone already made a switch explain what happens next, after placing an order? So I just got an order confirmation email saying "Once approved, shipping and tracking information will be emailed to you."

1. How long does it take to be shipped out and delivered?

2. I have no credit history, but just got a TD Student Visa credit card with $1,000 limit, and used my credit card to place an order. I selected no tab, as I already have good phone working well. I am worried about approval. Should it be fine? (I heard of Spending Limit Program though, which I am going to be fine with it.)

I signed up for $35/month plan, and managed to get $180 bill credit.

Can you elaborate?

So you sign up, they give you an order confirmation of some sort and tell you that the SIM card is in the mail. Then what happens?

Does the activation e-mail get sent the same day? A few days later? Does it have to wait for me to click on some kind of "Activate Link" in order to begin working (and more importantly billing)? And if so, how many days do they give you to do so?

This would make sense to me since you'll still have your old SIM working with your old number and Koodoo wouldn't really have a way of knowing when exactly you'll have access to your new SIM that's in the mail but I'm still not clear about when billing starts (as of what date).
