I tried the 40/6gb back then with a referral from an existing koodo customer, they denied it because it was a special promo plan and not eligible
Incorrect. I switched last 40/6gb and got the referral.

Just an FYI, seems to be that only those on the 3 month 12 GB PM plan were targetted.

Call the Koodo number (1 (866) 995-6636) from a non-Koodo phone, or Skype/Google Hangouts; select Option 1 English, and then Option 1 again for new line activation, and then Option 0 to speak with an operator.
You'll be connected to an agent in a few minutes instead of 1 hr :).
Thanks to @bluegang6, I was quickly connected to the operator within minutes opposed to the forewarned "1-hour" wait time.

@yawnzzz

Just brief context, I made my order for the $45/8GB KOODO migration plan on the 21st and the order has yet to be verified. I have only received the confirmation email after placing the order online. After speaking with the operator, she explained she cannot make any changes because I have yet to receive my SIM card and activate it. However, she said once I receive my SIM card, that I would be able to make that change and take advantage of the new fuego deal $40/8GB with $180 bill credits. I was put on hold for a while as she was going through different channels to identify the account number created when I processed the order. She would have to leave a note on my account number about this change. My instructions were the following: once you receive your SIM card, you will have to call in (briefly explain my situation so that the CSR would know to check the note) and have the CSR input the new promo code and thus, activating the line. She explained that before activating your line, that the system hasn't registered any plan onto your account. There is an opportunity to input a promo code again before activating your line. So, as of now, my account doesn't necessarily have a plan registered to it until I activate it.

For other RFD'ers I asked, "If I had activated my SIM card would I have been able to switch my plan from the $45/8GB to the $40/8GB with $180 credits?". The CSR responded, "It would be difficult because the line has already been activated with the promo code, but you can definitely try. No guarantees." So YMMV, as I've read that other RFD'ers have been able to switch their plans after a new promo had been shortly released after they activated their plans.

TL;DR If you haven't activated your SIM card yet, call in and ask them to input the new promo code JOINKOODOAUGDATA onto your account. Yes, you can 'change' your plan to the new promo (If your PM number is eligible for the promotion)

So far it's $40/4GB and $40/4.5GB that are targetted. Waiting on more data points.

Will the koodo referral work with this promo? if so, how will it work?
First, you get a referral link from someone else - fill in the info (name/email)

Second, Sign up with Koodo

Third, update the referral form (should receive after first step) with phone number etc.

Done.

You're supposed to start the referral before you sign up for the plan.

Already had to remove a couple posts discussing the generator. You need to understand that everyone posting about the generator risks their information being shared with TELUS should TELUS choose to pursue action against RFD.

Stop it....seriously.

Is there any way for existing Koodo customers to get something out of this promo?
Most likely not. I tried it when I still was with Koodo, never got anything. Then left them and the offers pops in :D
Also others reported that Koodo is not letting them jump onto the deal.

I suggest Ban Hammer and not just removing posts. Gotta take action for it to stop.
