I was on 40$/4GB plan which i migrated from PM to in June. I called Koodo this morning and talked to cs rep who said she couldn't do anything. I've asked again to see if there is anything else she could do and said that I may have to switch to PM again as they have 4.5GB for $40. She then transferred me to Marvin from support and he was able to switch me over.

Thanks all!

Marvin is the man at Koodo! Anyone who gets him will most likely get the plan.. Unfortunately, one can't choose who to speak to when being transferred to the support/retention team.

Once successfully ported to prepaid, you login to your "new" number Koodo acct, change phone number and input your Koodo Prepaid acct info which will make your "old" number overlap/take over your "new" number while keeping your "new" number's plan ($35/5gb)
thanks!

I take it the order was placed right away on Friday? I am surprised that the web store allows queue jumping simply by calling in. If they allow this they would be flooded with calls asking for the same favor.

What do you mean by this. Are you asking about porting a number on a Koodo plan over to Public Mobile and then keeping the Koodo plan active? That is not possible because porting closes the line at Koodo.

It takes the right timing to even get an agent on the phone even before they had all these promos, they rarely pick up so its about luck, patience and timing. Yes the order was placed on Friday evening.

I used my Vanilla Visa GC without registration. I just use "For You", which is printed on the card, as my name.
Yup. For those transactions that have problems, you can enter the post code of the Koodo account to help authenticate. You can't change the name and must always put what is on the card. They usually go through after that is done. It depends on both the card issuer and how much authentication the merchant requires.

Call from a non-Koodo number?

When calling during weekday office hours, you can initiate a callback.

No, not possible. Your current line will close if you port the number.

I definitely would just like I did with the $45/8 gb plan but i was advised to cancel that line by a csr and its gone. I still have my pm line and waiting on my new sim card to activate the $40 plan asap

No, As Will888 mentioned, the moment you port out any number, that plan is lost in space, forever, and bye bye, it never comes back,
