The method for that is to sign up online, choose "port" instead of "new number" (so you don't raise suspicion), and then when you receive the SIM, activate with its temporary number instead of porting your PM number. Then you can port a different number in (if you want to get another Koodo postpaid number onto this new line, you first have to port to something like Koodo or PM prepaid, then onto the new line. You can't port Koodo postpaid to Koodo postpaid).
I am a current customer of Public Mobile and Koodo and STACK

You see this was my conundrum, I was told I had to activate my previous $45/8gb before the deal was up to be eligible. I still have credit for my pm line until late September, so yeah I'm not sure what will happen since they have not shipped my sim card yet and Sept 5 is coming up real quick
Would the solution be to set your Public Mobile plan to auto-renew onto a cheaper plan until you receive the Koodo SIM? That way you're not paying for 3 months of service you won't use/
I'm in the same boat and thinking of doing this since my renewal is Sept 3. So I figure I'd switch over to a 30 day plan with talk/text and some data. Would this have any negative consequences with the Koodo offer?

People - you are eligible for the $35 or $40 plans once you complete the order so long as that occurs before the promotion expires. If you add the $35 or $40 plan to your shopping cart and successfully checkout, you are good. It does not matter when they ship the SIM, it does not matter when you get the SIM, it does not matter when they activate your plan. Checking out locks in your plan

Its a migration offer thread, you may try to refer it to koodo CSR, but they won't buzz, if it's El Salvador CSR, they will help you by not helping.

to port a non PM number, wait for activation email , do not call!!
once u get activation email then signup to selfserve web portal.
u cannot signup for selfserve webportal until u get an account and koodo telephone number which is in the activation email.
sim comes w/a random koodo telephone number but wait for the activation email, sim is activated approx same time as when u get that email.
selfserve web portal has a porting option, use that and only that.
i repeat, do not call koodo to port a non pm number for this promo or any other pm migration offer

You can't port Koodo postpaid to Koodo postpaid).
Though Koodo prepaid sims are pricey, but that's the fastest route.

Are you doing in-store or online? In store difficult, online - easy, but use the port option to avoid suspicion. You will be allotted a temp number

Any tips on getting your call transferred out of the El Salvador call center?
Is there a time in the day where most people who called were able to speak to a Canadian rep? I've called twice during the afternoon on a weekday (around 1-2pm PST) and have had no success switching my plan from 40/6 to 40/8 as the call always seems to meet a dead end with a 'supervisor' in the El Salvador call center..
i've been calling around the same time as well twice with no luck. i would like to know this as well

I’ve been told that initially people were able to swap from 45$ plan to $40 plan over the weekend because there were no clear directives from koodo but then a memo or something was sent advising supervisors not to do that so their hands are tied now

Also I’ll clarify something that was incorrectly told to me in the other koodo thread. I didn’t receive activation email or SIM card until well after the other promo ($45) expired but still got the plan. Basically as long as your order went im before the deadline you are good (provided your info is correct since they do check things after the order)
