Same here,
What if I make a post dated cancellation request with the retention team ??
Can I cancel the account closure request ?? I do not want to loose my number but seems like that is the only way to get the retention rep to consider me seriously.
There's no guarantee that cancelling will make them budge. The key is keep calling and don't give up.

Some people here had issues porting from Koodo to PM and if the port has issues, the PM community mods take ages to respond. Koodo prepaid is at least $10 for sim and $10 top up.
Thank you sir

Just switched from my $40/6GB migration plan to $40/8GB. The person that picked up said it wasn't possible. I had to speak to the manager. I was nice and had to explain that I was disappointed and effectively being punished for changing early. First he offered me an extra 1GB for 2 years but I didn't give in and kept pushing. The manager finally gave in and said I would have to pay $10 for it. I just took it even though I shouldn't be charged cause I couldn't do this online myself. Didn't want to push my luck too much.
Why would you do that. If anything the $0 1GB for 2 years is better than paying them $10 for 2GB =(

Edit: never mind. I thought it was $10/month so its actually a one time $10 charge for it.

Keep trying boys.

I called yesterday and got it on the first try. The rep acknowledged that she wasn't supposed to be giving out the deal but switch me over because I was making my payments "on time". I dunno, seems kind of stupid. Obviously I got lucky with the rep...

Can anyone familiar with signing up for PM plans help me out and answer a few questions ^_^

I have never been in this situation so I don't really know, but,

I know someone who only has his health card and visa debit. Are these two enough to just walk in Walmart and open up a line? Or do you need a drivers license and an actual visa?
I just did it an hour ago. All they need is a credit card for payment.

He paid $10 as a one-time fee. Koodo does that when you make changes to your account over the phone.

I'd be pissed knowing people paid nothing to get the plan updated and i had to pay $10. However it might have taken me a few more tries to get it. anyhow...

Sorry I should have made it clearer. It was a one-time $10 fee.

So, he changed the actual plan? He didn't just give a 2GB add-on?

That's pretty nice. I bet if you called in later, they would credit or take off the $10. Probably not worth calling right now because of the wait (unless you schedule a call back).
Yes it's permanent and not an addon. And ya I'll think about calling back in the future. Wait time is really, really long right now.

I wouldn't bother.. as long as your ok with the $10 charge. You got what you want in the end. Well.. it's not fair to you but this deal itself it's not fair to ANY existing Koodo customers.

Is Koodo currently having system issues with Porting from Postpaid->Prepaid->Postpaid new plan?
A buddy of mine did it earlier and he's stuck on going from Koodo Prepaid to Koodo Postpaid.

this is a non issue as you can always add a new line on a larger tab and then just cancel that line pay off the tab and a couple of days of prorated service. As long as you have a koodo line they won't do a credit check on you again.
Is this possible? I thought you couldn't pay off a tab for 90 days? Or is that just if you are a brand new koodo customer?

Oh and I wanted to add for those trying to switch from $40/6GB to $40/8GB you can also say that you only got $100 bill credits instead of $180 in bill credits and you're not even asking for the $80. Makes you seem nicer and less greedy. Also for anyone wondering I don't use a lot of data (usually less than 3GB a month) and the reps/managers know that. They told me that I don't use much data so that might have made it easier for them to switch the plan. I just wanted the 8GB cause it's nicer to know you have more and you don't need to limit yourself. Now I can comfortably watch some videos and stuff. Plus, my kids aren't on a data plan and so I can hotspot them and they can do whatever they want.

.. this promo is weird. I had 3 lines with PM, tried one, and got in, but the other two - no dice (none got the text message to switch).

I was under the impression that Koodo was trying to get all PM accounts. Not so? Anyone know if I can move the other two numbers if I call in?
