It was mentioned many many times on the various Koodo threads that historically, Koodo has never raised their post-plan prices.
They've actually lowered them over time.

Has it occurred to you that perhaps you were not targeted and so your number is not eligible for this offer? Hammering the system with the same ineligible phone number over and over again won't change the results. It will get you locked out.
how come im not in the targeted by this offer ... i got the 12gig/120$/90days 4glte deal since the first day it came out :(

Thank you. Feels like finally the time to switch over all 3 of my PM plans ($40/12GB over 3 months /LTE) plans. I am about half-way of the 3 month cycle now so just going to bite the dust. I should be able to use the referral credits as well, right? (between my 3 lines)
Self referral is possible for the second and third lines. You will need to get a referral from someone else for the first line. Get the first line set up and you will be able to issue referrals for use when setting up the second and third lines.

Currently still with Public Mobile.

I received a text from at 647 number from a Koodo employee saying I work at the following Koodo etc. come make the switch etc...

Did a Koodo employee really just look up my personal information and try to solicit me?

Anyone else receive a similar text?

It's weird you already got your first bill. I ordered Aug 11, activated Aug 16, and still waiting for my first bill. All zeros on website. I guess my cycle aligned with my activation date from day 1, so my first bill will have 2 full months of charges.
Go into your self serve and click on “usage”. It’ll tell u when your cycle ends

Did you make sure you are entering the promo code "JOINKOODOAUGDATA" and then pressing "Add to cart" and then waiting for it to ask you to enter your phone number?

try texting "offer" to 5130. It'll push through any offers available to you.

Sorry I was not aware that you have the 2016 fall promo. Your phone number along with the promo code in the OP should work. There have been many reports here of people having their number hijacked. If your number was hijacked, you should have seen a warning note that the phone number is one use only for the promo. Did you ever receive a text message with the migration offer? If not, go to your phone and text offer to 5130 and 5129.

I'm sure some variation of this has already been asked but I can't easily find the answer, please help me out.

Background
My order was cancelled due to Koodoo being unable to verify my credit file information. For context, I work at a Bank, I have access to my information from Equifax and TransUnion. I can literally copy-paste into Koodoo's online application but something must have been missing a space (or adding a space on their end). I assume it's an easy fix but the only option they give me is to go in-store and pay the $30 signup fee to have someone do it for you (per the e-mail they sent me). So my questions:

  1. If I go into the store, is there any way to get them to credit me back the $30 fee? I'm sure I'll get no answers about what was wrong and it seems unfair for me to have to pay their admin fee when the error is really on their side. If I was given a call or at least told what exactly mismatched, I could easily fix it by providing them the info they need, but they're not giving me that option. Has anyone successfully gotten them to refund you the $30 fee or heard of anything like it?

  2. Does self-referral work at Koodo? And if so, how? After I get this line at Koodo, I'm thinking of adding another line (that way both my number and my wife's are on Koodo) but I would still want to be eligible for referral credits as well as future promotions. Can you get referral credits for an additional line when most of the info is the same (e.g. name, address) with the exception of the actual phone number and credit card used for payment?

1. You will get $30 activation credited back in your second or third bill

You will get your credit for $30 but you may have to call back after getting first bill.
Ok, thanks. But how? What's the argument for why they should credit you back the $30. I think mine is valid (i.e. admin issue they couldn't verify me online) but am happy to use a tried-and-true reason.

2. step 1 - You sign up for referral account so that you can refer others
step 2 - Send a referral to your different email address
step 3 - Redeem your referral BEFORE signing for new account
step 4 - Sign up in-store for a new koodo account
step 5 - After you receive your new number, complete the last step by providing your new koodo number by following the link in email afteryour step 3

Edit - For your first line though, you need to find your own referral
Thanks, so if I understand correctly, the e-mail address has to differ (not a problem) but what about the rest of the info (name & address). Won't they link both accounts together despite the different e-mail address? If I go online for self-serve, will I have 2 separate logins or 1? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone who didn't port the eligible PM number gotten their first bill yet? $180 credit there?
It has been reported a number of pages back that porting is not required to get the credit. It does appear that the credit is tied to the phone number. If you do a phone number change, the credit stops and a call into customer service is required to restore the credit.

My port from postpaid to prepaid back to postpaid took approx 15mins.
Did you use Koodo prepaid or Public Mobile? Do you know if the $15 monthly bill credit needs to be relinked to the new phone number?

I always use different email addresses to be safe.
you can always merge two accounts later on.
They officially allow self referral, so same personal info should not matter
