How do I get on these deals? I need a new plan.
To get the offer you have to be a Pyblic Mobile customer (seems like PM's $40/4.5 GB plan is the most likely to receive a Koodo migration deal). After you're a PM customer for a couple weeks or a month or so, that's when they seem to start sending you these offers.

OR you can use a friend's valid PM number to qualify (or pay someone in the BST forum to use theirs). If you do that, you have to make sure you sign up online- in store they make sure you own the number you're using and make you port it there in store.

I currently do not have any plan. So I should just go to PM and sign up for the $40 plan and then hope to get a text from Koodo?

That's what many are doing. Remember this is a bit of a lottery. If you do it this weekend, you can take advantage of this deal. This gets you free second month.

BTS season is done, even Koodo themselves raised prices on the phones. Right now they are only trying to lure those who moved in to raise their spend to $60/10GB or $75/15GB, so the phone deals are on those tab plans.

Wait for Black Friday, where the numbers go into the Q4 reports.
Darn.

What's BTS season? I'm probably just out of the loop.

Looks like the koodo website is updating their site.

That's what I'd do! As mentioned it's a bit of a lottery and no guarantees but I think that gives you your best odds.

Don't forget to get a referral for another $10 credit right off the bat.

Ah, and I guess that's a ritual every year. Got it, thanks.

I much prefer the old system of one time credits. The immediate gratification is fantastic and it offers the chance to use a lot more of the credit to buy hardware. This way, too much of the cash goes to service and it becomes contract like for 12 months. Overall I can't complain about $0/month service. It matches Fido's free data plans. If only they would remove the $7/100 meg overage for a year.
Could you ask them to direct the credit to reducing your tab instead of toward service?

It doesn't matter, you're robbing Peter to pay Paul either way.

Just ported out to koodo prepaid and back into postpaid. When did koodo prepaid change their $20 activation bonus? It used to be a one time credit. Now it's broken up into $5 credits each time you renew you base plan so you actually have to pay an xtra $10 plus tax if you port in/out right away
Koodo $40/8gb $35/5gb wireless plans//
