It don’t work like that - this whole thing is a game to the multi-millionaire CEOs, just playing with you like the cats do with mice before they decapitate them.

Could indeed be your phone or maybe your sim card. PM and Koodo are the same network.
+1 there’s absolutely no issue with my iPhone X
Been running on Koodo and PM without a problem

Anyone had issues updating their billing address on the Koodo self serve? It keeps saying “oops something went wrong on our end, please try again.”

I’m using their suggested address too via the Canada Post suggestion prompt so I know it’s in the correct format.

Wait for billing cycle to kick in, once it does, you can update your billing address.

Okay cool, I assume there's no time limit between when they send it out and you have to activate and port over ?

As SIM could get lost in post, delayed etc.
They activate the SIM shortly after shipping - you will receive an activation email and have no control over the date. You can port over later but charges start when you receive the activation email

That sucks. I have the $60/10 GB plan with Telus now. I was hoping to just buy the SIM and activate the least expensive line and migrate over to Koodo when they have another migration offer.
Well, you may get something with the $10 plan. No-one knows.

Anybody have recent experience on how long it takes to receive the SIM? Earlier in the thread it was taking 10 days or so to send the SIM and activate. Anyone order in the past week or so?

The SIM card is activated two days after shipping. You can port anytime you like or not at all. SIM cards don't get lost. Shipments are tracked and you have to sign for the package. If you are trying to perfect time when you get the Koodo line and end of your Public Mobile plan, please don't. If you think you have this kind of luck, don't waste it on this. Go buy lottery tickets. What's the big deal if you leave Public Mobile a week early? The bill credits, referral opportunity makes up for it. Think bigger picture.

A bit OT. I just received email surveys on the 2 PM lines I opened this month. Just general questions on why I chose PM and where I switched from, what boosters I've used, etc.
I wonder what they're up to.

Sometimes these surveys make no sense. They need to wake up and smell the coffee. We are here to play the migration lottery. BTW, I got three emails. I think they are problem giving every new account a survey.

Cousin (currently is a Telus customer and used another relatives PM number to get the deal) just got the $35/5GB plan. Just wondering, can he port his Telus number to Koodo once he gets the SIM card and activation email easily (via Koodo self serve)?

Over 7500 posts and this has been answered before, your cousin has to accept the new number!

Yes once that new number is activated etc.
Funny how so many people have a “cousin” or “family member” who was eligible
Bell Loyalty (or unloyalty) could only offer me a plan that was MORE than my pretty bad current plan $55/2GB Boyd ... 15 year customer... bye Bell. Hello Koodo and public mobile

I genuinely have been on the $40/8GB plan now for about a month (I personally was on the $45/8GB plan prior to calling into Koodo and asking to change my plan given the better PM promo etc). If I was asking for myself, I have no reason to hide the fact that I’m asking for myself. However, I completely get your skepticism and understand how many others posters are saying “cousin” to refer to oneself. Appreciate your confirmation though and will text him to let him know he can port over his Telus number to the new temp Koodo number

It is unfortunate with all the gaming going on, RFD members are treating each other with skepticism. It is hard to tell who is telling the truth and who is stretching the truth.
