Any chance to get the offer from Koodo on $30/month Public mobile plan?
Migration offers have been pretty quiet lately. Could be that Telus didn't get quite as much improvment in ARPU as they were hoping by bumping people from prepaid to postpaid (or they realized they were cannibalizing Koodo's customer base over to Public, only to end up back at Koodo).

Thanks @wearysky, my question is more about whether $30/month is / was enough (from the past promos experience) to qualify for the offer.

AFAIK, only the subscribers with the $40/30days and the $120/90days plans received the migration text message.

From what I remember, those kinds of plans made up the meat of the bell curve of who got the offer - but I think there were some outlier plans that still got it (but they seemed to be the exception).

Ahh yeah - I don't recall anybody with under a $40/month plan getting migration offers (or maybe one or two? But they were definitely outliers). Hard to say now though, PM has been pushing the $30+ threshold hard over the last few months. So if they do bring migrations back, they might offer them to $30/month accounts either.

It is a lottery. My guess is no better than your guess. We, at RFD, don't have a crystal ball and/or time machine.

Sorry to resurrect a monster of a thread. It's probably better to sign up for a $40 PM plan and hope for a Koodo migration offer than it is to lock in with Zoomer for 2 years at $36 correct? I have no issues with Zoomer, but the phone selection isn't the best. I have no issues with the Tabs, especially if i can get a gift card or whatever the offer is.

Sorry, i was offered a 4 Gig unlimited calling for $36 or 5 Gig unlimited calling for $40.50 as part of the loyalty program. I'd be porting the number over. I don't think the 3G on PM would be an issue, she only does FB and maps, etc.

If you go with PM, you need to be okay with either a) keeping your current phone for an indefinite amount of time, while waiting for a Koodo migration offer, or b) buying a phone outright from Amazon or Kijiji or whatever.

And yeah, "3G speeds" are totally fine for most everything you'd do day to day.

sorry, didn't know you were existing customer...i would stay with zoomer if 4gb is enough...

switching to pm and waiting to migrate to koodo... who knows how long that will take... and recent migration offer was 8gb for $50...

You can keep your PM number. Not Koodo number as your current Koodo number has nothing to do with your PM migration to Koodo.

I'm interested in buying 8GB $50/month Koodo migration plans off someone, but the seller says I cannot port from Koodo post paid to another Koodo post paid line? Is there a way to keep my existing Koodo numbers/lines without porting to some other carrier, and porting back? Currently on 2GB $45/month plans from December, was new activation 3 months recently passed.

Just port your current Koodo postpaid plan to a Koodo prepaid plan. Then you can port back to the migration plan.
