Koodo: $35/5GB (Public Mobile migration plan) increase to $40.

Hello,
I just received my latest bill from Koodo and the price was not as usual. My $35/5GB plan was changed to $40, "without" any notice.

Actually… they did mention a price increase in the small characters at the very end of my previous bill, that I never look at because the price is always the same…

Anyone else effected?

Can you sign up with Public Mobile on their $35 plan and get the 2GB/month bonus total for 5GB with autopay? 2GBBONUS code. Sounds like Koodo is giving their customers the shaft.

I'd trade it all for a little more.

do you have a tab on yours? I just checked mine and it is still $35 / 5Gb but I have a tab on mine (for another year I think?).

So my bill is $45 = $35 plan + $10 tab.....no change as of now.....

Perhaps the tab saved me?

You accepted the terms for 45$ a month if they made any changes they’ll be in for it, unless quoted and excepted for say 12 month discounts, that will be removed you with me? But then again maybe they’ll do the increase in a month

Just got a callback. They said the plan had a time limit on it and it “expired”. I never was told that before. Then talked to retention, who said the plan did not exist anymore.

They were able to get me back to $35/4GB + 1GB + 5GB (I also had that extra) for the same total amount of data, and I’m supposed to get an extra $5 rebate per month for 3 months for the inconvenience.

Hopefully it will last for a while.

Weird, I wonder if there are different versions of the $35 / 5Gb plan in the Koodo system?

Our family has 2x $35 /5Gb PM migration plans left. One that I previously referenced that is on a tab, the other byod.

I’ve asked my family member who is on the Byod plan to check their last invoice. Stay tuned!

Just got my march invoice, I'm on the $40/6gb plan and has increased by $5 to $45. It seems on Feb bill the very last line mentions they will increase. As my previous bill was the same as always I did not bother to read all the fine print usually on the bottom. Have scheduled a call back to hopefully revert back pricing.

Nothing showing up on my most recent bill, but I get another bill in a few days.

I'm on $40/6GB Public Migration plan with 30% Loblaw Employee discount. BYOD since I paid off my device balance about 2 years ago... If that is the case, and my plan rises to $45/6GB ($31.50 W/30% off), I may look into the other Loblaw employee options, yes, spending more, but getting A LOT more for the price (I can get $50/20GB BYOD Unlimited Overage with Rogers, with sometimes bonus offers I believe)

He is not on a Public Mobile plan, he is on a Koodo plan that was exclusive to Public Mobile users

I suspect Loblaw has an agreement with Telus, and he gets a discount with any Telus carrier

Revert back the price? Are you in BYOD or you have a Tab?

Last paragraph of the last page of the 6 page pdf of my bill:

Yup. This is it. I know we have the agreement with Koodo, but I don't think we get a discount from Telus. We do also get discounts with Rogers (~30% off regular prices), Bell (~30% off regular prices), and Freedom ($15 off ANY plan OVER $60/mo).
