As soon as I saw this thread, I started the Callback process. Kodoo just called me back, put me on hold, then hung up on me.

Customer Service does not seem to exist at so many corporations anymore.

These would-be retention+++ plans make Freedom look like 56k. And are being sent out like candy. No chance it’s correct.

Assuming that the $8 plans are troll inspect elements, the data and price integers are the same...
I think someone messed up...
it looks like the following may have gone out:

Code: Select all

var amount_p = 45 //price
var amount_d = 10 //data

print ('$' & amount_p & ' for ' & amount_p & 'GB plan')
instead of sending out

Code: Select all

print ('$' & amount_p & ' for ' & amount_d & 'GB plan')
(and yes, I know this is not proper syntax in probably any language... I just tried to keep it simple for the masses)

*edit*
If the 45gb for $8 is not an inspect element troll, then it sounds like they switched the variables by accident too 🤦‍♂️

This makes the most sense. Someone accidentally copied the same value over in amount and sent it. No QA checks before sending it out too.

Probably best to leave it be. RFD has done quite well in the past thanks to Koodo.

The developer should be fired for naming variables like that. Who abbreviates nouns, but keeps adjective in full? SMH

Oh no! It looks like someone messed up the dynamic fields in this email. I feel bad for them, they're going to have a very bad day dealing with the fallout :(

I'm on the phone with them. These clowns are claiming this was a "SPAM" email but it did originate from them, "KOODO".
What a bunch of clowns. They don't want to honour it. If they made a mistake, they should honour it. IMO
