This plan is inline with the 8GB package everyone is falling all over themselves for in the other thread
Your plan costs more, and there is no advantage to large Tab really since prices of phones are identical unless a hardware sale is on
People on this forum like to nit pick on things. It's a good deal, as long as its available to people and not just a few people.

I'll call Rogers and ask then to match this koodo deal, let's hope they do it.

Not True....some phones are 0.00 on TAB Large and 400 plus for a Medium Tab
Ok which phone is NOT on sale is cheaper for you then?

*sighs* READ
Pixel 2 has a sale on (which is exactly what I told you)

Normal price is $400 for phone + $480 on Tab L
$500 for phone + $360 for Tab M

It actually costs LESS on Tab M
The $400 rebate is a hardware sale and limited time

How about 15GB for $75 per month?
That will be a great deal if you use that much of GB.

Your calculation is not correct, yours is based on data only plan.
Call/Text does have some values..
If the unlimited call/text/canada wide is $20.
Then:

8GB / $40 = $2.5 per GB
15GB / $75 = $3.67 per GB
10B / $70 = $5 per GB

It is quite clear which plan you want to pick...

$75 is a price creep plus offering 15gb just gets more people addicted to data.

I use 15 GB easily, went to 17 GB a few times, but luckily they removed the charge for it. I know lots of people that use a lot... and its not an addiction to phones... I use it as a hot spot for my other devices and my friends sometimes run out of data so I let them use my hot spot. Plus, data doesn't seem to get you as much as it used to, everything is 4k, FullHD, eats up data quickly.

It seems that it gets you plenty, but not enough because you are sharing with your friends.

Not really

Some people pay $55 for 16GB with Koodo.

$40 for 6GB unlimited Canada calling/Global texting base plan + $15 for 10 GB add-on that never expires

Why is that? If you want a phone requiring a large tab, get the phone and a large tab eligible plan on a temporary basis and close out the plan once you get the phone. Do the AB phone number work around and save some provincial sales tax which is worth a lot more than the interest free loan for 24 months.

That's what I was getting at. That was a hot deal even though it was very YMMV. Even the additional 2gb for $40/10gb was a hot deal.

Lately this section has become "is this a hot deal" or "every promo I see" instead of hot deals. Most threads should be moved to shopping discussions.

To be fair, I think people are so used to being gouged by regular (non-promo) pricing from Robellus and their subsidiares that this seems like a good deal by comparison.

I do not even know what the point of your re-calculation was
If you deduct the same amount from all 3 plans then even in your post you just proved the 10GB / $70 plan has worse value

Also I will argue your $20 for Canada wide talk & text is absurd; I think $25 is cheapest you will ever find for it, and then you would not even qualify for a Tab anyways

I am just showing your calculation is missing a big piece of data.
I was try to help you grow in the future so that you can be more accurate, like normal RFDers.

You demonstrated you don't understand that, and you just want to argue...So I failed.

Whether the plan worth 20 or 25 doesn't matter, btw you can find it for $20.
And $70 is the worst plan, I am not saying that is wrong.
I just showed you a wrong calculation can lead to a correct result, that doesn't mean the calculation is correct.
And you might not be that lucky next time...

Last, it is not all about you, the calculation can mislead some other fellow RFDers, when it is wrong.

Yep. I'm on BYOD with Rogers and was offered a plan upgrade, $75 for 14gb. Also I have the 10% off desjardins promo so that makes it sweet. If only I had the corp discount. Was also offered $90 20gb but was simply too much
