[Koodo] Certified Pre-owned phones - Updated Dec-04 - most are out of stock

I know I will be downvoted by re-sellers who are mad they can't abuse Koodo any longer but I don't care and hope those who aren't planning to leave Koodo will find this interesting. When I logged in today I saw some decent deals on Certified Pre-owned phones, eligible for medium/small tabs:

Samsung Note 8: -/$0 ($240 total) - out of stock
Samsung Note 9: $120/$240 ($480 total) - out of stock
Samsung Galaxy A70 $0/$120 ($360 total)
Samsung Galaxy S9: -/$0 ($8 monthly, $192 total)
Samsung Galaxy A8: -/$0 ($5 monthly, $120 total) - out of stock
Samsung Galaxy S10e: $0/$120 ($360 total) - out of stock
Huawei Mate 20 Pro: $0/$120 ($360 total) - out of stock
Huawei P30: $0/$50 ($290 total) - out of stock
Huawei P20 Pro: -/$0 ($240 total) - out of stock
Huawei P30 Lite -/$0 ($5 monthly, $120 total)
Huawei P20: -/$0 ($5 monthly, $120 total) - out of stock
LG G7 One: -/$0 ($240 total)
LG G7 ThinQ: -/$0 ($7 monthly, $168 total) - out of stock
Google Pixel 2 XL: -/$0 ($240 total) - out of stock
Google Pixel 3a: $0/$50 ($290 total) - out of stock
Google Pixel 3: $0/$75 ($315 total)
Google Pixel 3 XL: $75/$195 ($435 total)
Google Pixel 3a XL: $120/$240 ($480 total) - out of stock
iPhone 8: $0/$100 ($340 total)
iPhone X: $120/$240 ($480 total) - out of stock
iPhone XR: $75/$195 ($435 total)
iPhone XS: $320/$440 ($680 total)

Usually all Koodo pre-owned phones come like new, in a generic box, no headphones.

And just to be clear - this is a deal for those who are not planning to cancel their account or upgrade in the next 2 years. Otherwise it's not a deal as you will need to pay the phone credit - full or part of it depending when you cancel/upgrade.

Which is the best deal of the bunch? Is it still a deal if it's pre-owned *

Between the P20 Pro and the P30 which would you pick? Price aside. I'm mostly concerned with a great camera, so if they have the same camera then I assume the P30 is better because it's the newer version?

Interested in the Note 8 but I have like 50 bux left on my tab. Can I just pay that off and get it like usual ? Or has Koodo changed their policy ?

So I'm correct in the fact that my dads plan with the crazy 25$ plan +data addon can't use the upgrade function ever now right? So his only options moving forward are to get a phone elsewhere/craigslist?

CPO iPhone X for $480 is pretty good if you're happy with your plan
