Does Koodo unlock the phone right away due to new rules or something?

There is no cancellation fee. It is only the $504 Tab balance you owe, plus 1 day of service.

Can someone breakdown the full charges including taxes? A little confused.

Isn't it like $1,000 & $1,100 CAD if you buy it outright from any store?

What about your plan?
Deals are if you getting a phone for $0 and a good plan.

210 *1.13=237.30 (upfront $200 plus $10 for sim)
504*1.13=569.52(24 months tab of $21 each month)
$3 for a single day plan charge(on $72 dollar/month plan)
331 activation credit(not sure how you get the credits, whether it is store credit or you get cash credit)
237.30+569.52+3-331=$478.82 rough total

$478.82 is just a rough calculation based on the figures available on their website. It might be more.

It s online only and phone delivery takes 1-2 weeks. can you still order this, and cancel the plan the same day?

That $311 is already counted. It's how much the phone is discounted by. It's a bit misleading on the part of Koodo.

Yeah, like lovespeanutbutter said, the $311 is already added so it'd be about $775 all-in, which makes sense.

$478 would be a blazing lava hot deal :P

The rest of the breakdown looks good though, thanks.

I mean in a perfect world, yeah, but it doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes you want a specific phone and certain specific features on a plan and they don't always match up, so the best choice is to buy a phone outright to help you get exactly what you want.

If you're flexible in what phone and plan you want then yeah, chances are you'll find something good and cheap via a phone + plan combo.

You can follow the QC plan loophole on large tab the same way you would on a medium tab, correct?

FM had shit service and shit coverage.

Find me a plan with a provider like Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido, Koodo, Virigin, Public Mobile, Zoomer where you can get the S8/S8+ and come out ahead after 24 months.

Generally buying your phone outright, then going with a BYOD plan is cheaper right now after 24 months.

Public Mobile's $45 per month plan for 4 GB per month is legit right now (runs on the Telus network). Never mind - this plan was available last week.
