So when you stream youtube videos on your 3G Data, you find that it's about the same? Videos load just as fast with no issues?
3G works fine for YouTube, Google Play, and every game I have ever tried

It's not really 3G
It is LTE with a 3MB speed cap so way better latency and bandwidth than say Freedom
Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

What does "Soirs dès 17 h et week-ends illimités3" mean? Another promo glitch?

3 Unlimited local calling from 5pm to 8am, Monday through Thursday, and 5pm Friday to 8am Monday. For Canada-wide plan, unlimited Canada-wide calling from 5pm to 8am, Monday through Thursday, and 5pm Friday to 8am Monday.

Untitled.png
Per Google Translate: "Evenings from 5 pm and unlimited weekends"

You could EASILY take the iPhone SE and flip it for $240
It comes with warranty even
So no need to pay $55

Yeah, just confirmed that it's now working for me on a small tab when it wasn't yesterday.

I'm in Vancouver, BC.

If I were to port two numbers to Public Mobile (from Koodo), what are the chances I'd receive an offer to switch back in the future?

I think that’s the million dollar question.

I am waiting for a good weekend gift card deal from Walmart. If I am doing a new activation, I am going for all the benefits.

Still won't allow me to select a sim.

No great loss though I'm going to resist the offer. (There are a couple of $5 small tab pre-owned LGs if I really wanted the deal.... ;) ).

edit: Oh... just noticed you said at the Koodo Store. So that's a $30 fee which includes the sim?

Can you still process a referral at the store or is that only if you're doing it online from the referrer's link?

Yeah it's a mystery - seems like you need more than just one of the $10 plans though - a lot of people seem to be getting the offer from the $40/4.5 GB plan, so I think that can increase your odds?

One thing to note is that he made me pull the TEXT message that i got from Koodo and made sure to copy the phone number that the message was specifically containing. He was told to do that from their "support" guy over the phone...

You activate a referral before you activate with koodo, then you enter your number after the activation is complete. The referral process has nothing to do with where you activate the line
