Ya, I wonder if he said that BC of his commission. The guy on my store said they don't know.

Works in BC too, I'm currently switching from freedom right now in store. Funnily enough I just got the free 10gb bonus text this week from freedom but i have no need for 18gb of data right now since I'm working from home due to COVID and barely going out.

Trying to decide if it's worth creating a burner freedom account to port in first, then port my main accounts in for the better $35/11gb deal...or just take one at $39/9gb.

$10 setup fee + $9 for cheapest freedom plan + ~$20 for 15 days of service at Koodo = ~$40 to save ~$96 over 24 months...

Doesn't seem worth it (other than the extra 2gb). Any other thoughts?

Ya so looks like it's the same in either case. Prepaid = $10 setup + $9 for service. Post paid = $20 setup + $1 for service.

So I just asked a rep at Markville. He said this porting deal is available for any non-Telus owned brands. I.e not valid for Public Mobile customers. All others are okay!

$44 for 11Gb
$49 for 13Gb
Try different booths or push them by saying two lines or etc etc.

I just ported over from Rogers on the $50/9GB plan. Any way to get Koodo online to get it down to $39?

Just an FYI. I spoke to Koodo Retentions and they were not aware of this plan, not for new customers either. The Rep was baffled at how the plan could be $39 without special promotion codes applied to a higher plan base price.
