Funny, I was looking at this this morning. My account does not have the $66 activation credit, though.

Might be dependent on the type of contract you have.
I was looking for a phone for my partner, they don't have a contract yet and they get the full $66 bill credit.

I logged into my account and only get a $44 dollar bill credit.

Updated the main post to reflect sliding credit.

Great phone but old offer. I'd hold off for a newer better one. I was able to get this 6 months ago for the same price (might have paid $120 + small tab) along with a free pair of huawei earpods. I'd expect there should be newer phones available for deals soon, esp. with this economic downturn.

Pardon my ignorance, but is Huawei still worth buying given everything going on with the trade ban? Are apps still easily installable without Play Store?

You mean google services as well as play store. P40 has android as well, but no Google :)

0 tolerance for BS.
If I downvote, chances are it's less about the deal, and more about OP's inability to take criticism and constantly favoring their deal due to their ego.

p30 you can still download google apps. but there is a work-around that i saw on youtube. The newer huawei phones have a 'phone clone' app which allows you to port over all your apps to the new phone. And secondly, there are other app marketplaces you download the most popular apps for. so there are work-arounds.

That being said, I just wanted to say that I got a P20 Pro on the exact same deal last year (medium tab, $0 down) and it is by far the best phone I have used. I am very happy with the purchase and will definitely consider them again if a good deal comes up on the P30/P40 pro in the future. It was my first Huawei phone and i am very impressed.

just my two cents!

I too have the P20 pro, and seems that the P30 regular is VERY similar to it. I got that deal last year also, and if I recall it was a price error so don't think we will see that again.

Hmm, sounds like biased review on behalf of Chinese government.
Telus $50/120GB + $0 200 USA LD (min) +$0 Visual Voicemail X 1 lines
Telus $60/150GB USA/CAN + $0 Visual Voicemail (USA roaming + USA calling included X 4 lines

I got the p20 pro on a similar deal and agree with that review. Best phone I've had. Only downside is missing the headphone jack.

Unfortunately I won't get a phone without google service, otherwise I'd want the huawei phones after the p30 series.

That P20 Pro deal thread was the same if I recall, many people calling others shills and going on about Chinese Spying constantly.

Also, you know the P30 still has Google services like normal; its a licencing issue, they all have Google like normal.

P20 Pro and P30 Pro sold very well rest of the world except North America. Numbers don't lie, it's highly reviewed.

It's a great phone if having a great camera matters to you. If it doesn't matter to you, there's plenty of other options that are much cheaper.

But anyways

P30 = not a hot deal unless it's Pro. P30 and Pro will still get Android updates. Mate 30 and P40 will not, which makes the P30 Pro the one to get.

Android by Google is the most invasive OS. Just download Blokada and you will see by yourself how much you are getting tracked, it's insane.

I have a P20 Pro since 1.5 years and my wife has a P30. The P30 came with free Huawei earbuds (around Christmas). I think we got the P30 for 0$ on medium tab + the free earbuds (their value is I think roughly 100$). Both phones are super good, like others have mentioned it above, I also think these are super good phones. I had Samsung, LG, Motorola before and I think my P20 Pro is the best I had so far. My wife is very happy with her P30 also. Kinda sad to see the Huawei fight between China and the rest of the world, the P40 looks nice but it does not has Android on it anymore.
