iPhone XR $0 with Tab Plus + $20.00 Tab charge for 24 months

You'll pay $0 for your phone and put the rest ($480.00) on your Tab

Pay a $20.00 monthly Tab charge for 24 months, and then you'll only pay your monthly plan charge

Includes $340.00 in Tab Bonus1

Which means you price for the phone over a period of 24 months would be $480. Requires a 24 month commitment

I got my wife this same phone in November 2019 for $0 on a medium tab. $360 total.
This isn't a hot deal. The xr at this point is almost 2 years old!

Maybe not as good of a deal that you got in November 2019 but it sure is a better price than it was last week. Time machines are broken cannot rewind back to November 2019

This info is for people who might require an iphone.

YMMV but I would try to get some credit to bring down the upfront cost. If you message Koodo's FB or Twitter page, they'll often offer you some credit, especially if you're a Koodo customer. I was able to get $75 in credit a couple months ago for a new iPhone SE for my girlfriend.

If you're starting a new activation they also often have $10 bill credit for 12 months, which brings you tab down to only $5 a month for the first year and your net cost to $360 based on OP's numbers.

Granted, I got the XR for a net cost of $120 last Boxing Day because of various promos they had over the holidays. Usually deals are better then, but if you're not interested in waiting that long, it might still be worthwhile to hold out and see if something better comes up for back-to-school. With the iPhone 12 coming, we might also see lower prices on on the 11 as well.

If people are interested in plans, the currently available ones that make most sense for price-to-ratio are $50-60 for 4-8 GB.

Yes. The question probably is, for those looking for an iPhone, specifically in the XR specs range... is there a better deal?

Unfortunately for me it's not a deal. It works on Tab Plus or Mid, but not Tab Basic. The overall plan + phone price is too much if I'd have to give up my migration Tab Basic plan.

Hasn't been a lot of iPhone deals from Koodo since covid. $480 for an XR might not be the best deal when looking backwards. But not seeing any other deals out there right now.

Just get the SE off contract over an XR on a 2 year contract. 4 year old phone at the end of your contract.

Someone knows how to get a credit or discount if I am a customer already for a few years? Is it good to speak with someone at retention? Thank you!

If only it were that simple! 6.1 screen vs. 4.7 is more important to someone in this household than the A12 vs. A13 GPU.

Do you know if there is a way to get a credit or better price on this with the customer care department?

Yea, I snagged one for $200 after tax around Black Friday (after all discounts). That being said it was a smoking deal at the time... Hold off till BF if you can, probably some good iPhone 11 deals.
On the Koodo $40 for 8GB Plan 😉

I was just looking at the iPhone 11 at Koodo, and that one was $360 down and $15*24months.

I think I'd rather do that, but maybe they'll have a sale in the fall.

Message the Koodo Facebook or Twitter page and ask for credit off the upfront cost or schedule a callback with Koodo Loyalty asking for credit on your account for a new tab. Also, if it's new activation you can ask if you can get the $10 off for 12 months deal which they specifically offer through their social media accounts AFAIK. Not really sure when this deal runs but I got it in December and also when my girlfriend switched to Koodo in April.
