That's probably in response to what a bunch of us did before that. You'd get texted the offer (in my case 10gb for $14/mo). If you qualified for the offer, you'd call in and get them to downgrade your account to the $25 account. Then text the code to get the 10gb added to it. Ergo paying $39 for 10gb month (unlimited calls and texts).

I think after that second round of that they tried to close the loophole. Given that warning probably isn't on earlier addons, maybe it only applies to people that took up offers after the RFD effect occurred?

damn, for some reason I thought the small tab applied because its a discount on the $35 plan. That's going to make upgrading challenging :(

data add on is only available to you, if they send you a TXT message

nope, new customer won't have data add on offers
a Koodo customer usually get a TXT with data add on offer
when he/she used almost 100% of their existing data

I have this plan ($40/10gb) and I'm on a small tab. Find a nice Koodo rep and they can add it ma ually.

When you call in you can ask for free 2GB add on and $1 1GB so total $26 for 3gb. Each account can only have 2 data add-on.

It was a big risk possibly losing my 10GB add-on - but it worked! Dropped $10 on my plan for the cost of 1GB. Totally worth it. Thanks, OP.

Which plan were you on before?
Some people just don't get that online forum posts shouldn't always be taken seriously.

Wow. This worked. I've spent the last two days going back and forth with a call centre guy and the Twitter team. I got offers to switch to the pre-paid side from the call centre and increasingly snotty replies from the Twitter dude who stated that "it was a glitch in the system " when I changed it the first time(from 50 to 38) and it shouldn't have worked. The option to even change it through my account didn't even show up until today.

Ditto; everything looks kosher. In my data settings my 6gb plan now says 'expired', but my 10 gb add on continues to count down.... so hopefully it's all good.
