Does the bonus get removed if we add a tab onto the plan in the future?

Tried a month ago on FB Messenger to get Koodo to match or give me more data when they had the back to school promos. I have 5 lines (we pay for the family) so more leverage. They wouldn't budge much. Was at 60/12GB ---> 55/11GB and had to pay 2 10 dollar plan change charges...

Tried today for this offer and the rep gave it easily on all 5 plans. Now at 55/16GB lol. I have no use for that much data but I'll take it! Thanks RFD

forevergone wrote: No, so it's $39/12GB now. For those of us on the previous $25 talk/text + $14/10gb add on plan, we weren't eligible for this offer because you need to have $35+ base plan with data.

After 8 tries, I got them to give me a 2GB add on instead of 5GB, and keep my $39/10GB plan so in essence what every agent has been saying about losing the $14/10gb add on and can't stack add-ons is a load of BS. Yes you can and I am proof of it. It just depends on how much effort you want to put in.

After try #4, I switched it up and stopped asking for the 5GB bonus on my plan, and instead asked to revert back to my old $40/8gb PM migration plan + add the 5GB add on, but had no success.

The best offers I got were from the Canadian Tier 2 agents. The South American ones were not helpful.

Be nice and if it doens't work, just try again. At some point, it's diminishing returns because you have logs from previous agents of what they offered you and they are less inclined to give you anything.

For those of us on the $39/10GB plan, there is hope!

I just wanted to match what I could have gotten if I stayed on the $40/8gb migration plan I had previously, and I think this is pretty close.
How did you speak to Tier 2 agents? I always get the South American ones and they're always so stingy. They never want to offer you anything good. Loudly Crying FaceLoudly Crying Face

Will it be removed even for tab eligible plans which got the bonus 5gb?

If so that's so dumb because why stay with Koodo then if one can get a BYOD deal at Fido etc anyways.

I don’t know if it’ll really get removed. I’ve done so many phone upgrades but my 1000LD minutes was never removed

Didn't really need the extra data but did the callback anyways. It was pretty seamless and now I have a 13GB $40 PM migration plan. The extra data may come in handy when WFH is over or if I ever have to commute on to work on the Skytrain

Thanks OP!

I had the $55/(6B + 5GB addon) (with $11 credit for 24 months) that they offered for Freedom customers, (i was koodo, went to freedom for a day, and back to koodo)

So $44/11GB, they were gonna do the 5GB right away, then noticed I had the $0 5GB addon already, so they tried lowballing me and offered some awful $45 2+5GB plan,

but finally got them to give me $50/8GB + 5GB addon, and keep the $11credit,

so $39/13GB for 24 months.

Ill take it!

I have the $40/8GB plan with the $15/10GB add on and was also able to get the $0/5GB on top!

When I got the bonus data I also got the 1000 minutes of free LD to several countries added without even asking. Now it's disappeared from one of my lines, but still on the other. Have a call in to fix this. Very weird.

I'm also going to ask about multi-line discount (since I have 4). How easy is it to get that? I had 10% off a few years ago, but it expired.
