If you were one of the people who got the $13 9GB addon or $15 10GB addon in the past year or so, you can drop your base plan to $25 BYOD (unl talk + text) and keep the addon. This results in either $38 9GB or $40 10GB

I tried this, but the only unlimited talk plan is $45 in NL apparently. Any way around this? I have the 10GB add on so my current plan is 40 + 15 for 1gb + 3gb bonus + 10gb add on, I don't use more than 2gb and just want to get my bill down without losing the 10gb addon since I may use it in the coming months ><

Have you tried calling again and talking to a different rep?
Maybe try going to or calling a Walmart and just see if they're able to offer it on a new activation, cause then you know that it's available in your area for sure
The email that we originally received about the plan said it was a "national" promo so i'd assume NL would have it too

Couldn't get it for $55 but I did for $60 and my change of plan fee waived.

My old plan was great but 5GB wasn't enough.

I got 10GB for $60 as well. I also got 5$ monthly credit for 12 months. This was enough for me because I was on a 4GB / $60 plan after porting to Koodo for their crazy S10 deal (via Best Buy) near the end of April.

I tried with loyalty, They offered me $60 for 6 GB and $55 for 4 GB. I’m already on the 10 GB for $60. Told them to take a hike.

Wasn’t able to get $55/10GB (there was a $56 QC plan but i’m in ON), however, the rep got me $55/6GB. Already had the bonus 2GB on that line so it’s effectively $55/8GB.

Was also able to get 1GB for 24 months for my primary line.

Didn't attempt to get anything other than the 10% multi-line discount due to how unsuccessful the latest posts have been. However I did manage to get 10% off each line on my account for a period of 1 year

the problem with downgrading is, you are losing qualifying tab with it,

they still have 40/8gb in their system just switched to it a few days ago, that's way better than 55/10gb or 25+15 for 10GB without a tab

How did you get them to switch to it? Were you from public mobile?

Is it possible for me to switch from my existing plan to the $40/8GB plan?

I was able to get my two lines 40for8 plan with koodo by talking to a manager since Rogers wingback was offering 40for8 or 50for13. At first I was on 40for3 and 56for10 when I ported over. Then Rogers called and they offered the above. Hang up before completing the winback then ended up calling Koodo (not the first person but the manager in the back) and told them what Rogers was offering. Koodo wasn't able to match the 50for13 as they didn't have it in their system but lucky me they had the 40for8 as I told the story to the manager of how they had the 40for8 migration plans back in 2017? The manager was able to find it in the system and hooked up my first account with that and then it dawned on me that I should get my second account with the same plan. Rule of thumb, the first person you talk to is only the first person you talk to and get ready to be disappointed but don't give up. Always try and find an alternative. What's the worst thing they're going to do is say no or hang up. Now I'm just ranting

If you waited, maybe one day they offer you the $15 / 10GB Add on
then it would be $55 for 15GB

Is $40/8GB plan region specific? I’m still on an old sask $50/5 plan and have been contemplating jumping ship for something cheaper. The 40/8 would be ideal and save me a lot of hassle.
