i wouldn't say it is better than PM, I would say it is on par with PM. However, this would definitely be better than fido and virgin, too bad I jumped ship to PM already.

Thank you sooooo much OP. I am in BC and yes Koodo has a loyalty promo right now for BC.
$48 - 5g unlimited cross Canada calling. Same as plan I had with unlimited texting, cross Canada calling, VM and 1g data. So basically $3 increase in my plan cost to go from 1g to 5g. Ask for loyalty/retentions as frontline reps can't offer this. Fantastic deal.

If they're offering this for people to stay, I assume the people on the MB/SK plan should be safe for now.

Did you quote a specific plan from a competitor for them to match?

Just got the deal with 5GB. I was on a previous promo plan that had 2GB (1+1bonus) of data but everything else is the same (i.e. unlimited minutes, texts...) so I get an extra 3GB of data and save $1. I was on hold for 12min but it took less than 2min once I got through to retentions. Thanks OP!

It all depends on your situation. I personally don't ever call tech support, so I would stick to PM, but there are those who'd prefer talking to a live person on the phone and $10/mo might be a small price for them.
mb sk plan came out 2-3 years ago............

Anyone know if a NEW customer coming FROM the Fido $40 4gb plan could get on this? The Koodo $48 5gb plan would suit me a lot better!

I asked first line if they would match PM. They have no record of such plan to offer. They transferred me to loyalty and I said do you have any awesome loyalty deals for me. Waited on hold a few minutes and loyalty came back with $48 plan.

I have a tab. The tab is extra regardless of the plan.

Has anyone gotten a new account with this plan? Or is it just retention only?

Was on hold for a little bit there, but they were able to offer me the same $48 5GB Plan without any hassle. This coming from the $56 2GB plan.
Just to clarify everything on the $56 plan is the same as this new $48 retention plan, just with more data. - and $5/100mb overages.
I didn't ask about the extra 1GB, as I don't have 8 years of loyalty.

Thank you OP!

I wonder how many people who justify $10 for Canada-wide calling actually use enough minutes for it to make sense over a 3 cent/minute pay per use long distance plan?

Can I use a someone phone number from Alberta as reference to get the same deal?

Thanks OP I have 3 lines on the same account, two with the $55 plan and one with the $48 plan all MB but I am in Alberta. Time to call in and switch the 2 to $48 :) Now I won't be worried everytime I call that they would change my plans.

It has been asked before; anyway for a non-Koodo customer to get on this plan?
