[Koodo] Koodo Mobile - $10/month off for 12 months for plan $50 and up

Koodo is having a promotion of $10/month off for 12 months for new activation and renewals. Some promotional plans that they have:

$60 - 6 GB data and unlimited Canada wide calling --> $50 after $10 off
$55 - 6 GB data and 500 mins Canada wide calling --> $45 after $10 off
$55 - 4 GB data and unlimited Canada wide calling --> $45 after $10 off
etc...

Use promo code: "KOODOOFFER". It seems like a decent deal.

I hope this is not a repost, I searched and didn't find anything.

Telus is getting desperate to get their ARPU up. Don't fall for it, people.

You're making me use my GIF again, Koodo.

I see a $50 plan (4 GB with 500 minutes) that can be $20 for 5 months if you count this discount and your referral discounts for 5 months. If you need to hook someone up for the summer, you could do worse, I suppose.

Sure, they can take more of my money if they offer me data for a reasonable price.

I'm going to activate the $60 10 GB plan they offered me next week. Fingers crossed I can also use this code.

This $10 off deal also appears to be what cancellation agents can give as a discount at any given point. They offered it to me before with no expiry.

I actually thought I had a solid deal on a plan until they hosed me on the tab billing $50 a month for 8 GB.

The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

Is this from the promo codes they sent out? If you’ve got an extra, I’m looking to leave Bell!

Does this work on a phone upgrade but retain same plan? (Keep $40/8GB plan?)
Or does the renewal have to be a new in-market plan?

Edit: Just tried, code doesn't work if renewing existing plan.

No, Koodo actually called me as a former customer and offered me that plan when I told them I was paying $65 for the same thing on Bell.

AndrizzyR wrote: Anyone can use the promo codes, you don't need to be referred or anything. If you want to leave Bell, then you need to pick and plan from Koodo and use the promo code "KOODOOFFER" & if you're looking for a new phone then go ahead. If not, just BYOD. Then from there, just transfer your number over!

But for those with Koodo who want to get this offer, you'll need to either buy a new phone or get a new plan and then use the promo code "KOODOOFFER".

Personally I don't think its a great deal but its decent deal for those who'd like to come to Koodo
He's referring to the recent promo where existing $60 10 GB customers were given codes for friends/family to activate the same plan.

Your plan has to be at least $50 / month (excluding tab). You have a $40 / month plan.

Damn, I wonder if I could call them and get that deal - I’d leave my Bell $65 for the Koodo $60 in a heartbeat.

Oh shame, missed that part.
Basically can't stack with any of the better plans. I guess it would work with the $60/10GB one.

this is a pretty decent deal, at least in my case $40 for 4GB is very reasonable. I'm curious what do people get to downvote op's post.

seems to work fine with $60 10gb plan. it gave option to keep current plan.
