[Koodo] Koodo Winter Sale - 8GB/$50 min

Koodo has their next set of deals. Plans include double data, up to 10gb bonus data. For existing customers, let's put our heads together to figure out how to get off our PM plans with no tab eligibility and onto a tab-based system!

I think their site is a bit messed up at the moment because their tab tallies don't quite make sense.

I currently have a 4GB add-on - doesn't hurt to ask!

Are you referring to Freedom? They don't count, because their network is balls. Koodo's network is actually great.

Slowly Koodo is eating away at my hard earned retentions $40/9GB. It looks like I will have to hit the books again soon.

Let me know what you end up doing. I'm at $40/12gb (with no tab!!!).

No. Hes right. Its 50 for 8. It was normally 4gb for 50. Since they are now doubling data on their previous plans 4+4=8

I'm currently with Koodo and trying to jump ship to Zoomer.
Seeing these "deals" it can't be soon enough.

Upvoted cuz of taking the time to post and the plans might be good for other people.

Yes but for those that get good service, Freedom is cheaper. FIDO and Telus also have better deals.

Freedom /Shaw is the reason the big 3 are more competitive.

I can't change my plan, it seems this only applies if you add a new line or get a new phone

I'm on 8GB for$50 and tried to change to 8GB for $50+4GB free but no such option when trying to change my plan my options are $75 for 10GB only on one of my lines and there is no bonus data; and on the other line gives a lot of options but the 8GB costs $60 and no extra data and 10 gigs $75 and no bonus data

yeah. I've noticed these are only for adding new lines. :|

I was able to upgrade my two lines on PM plans ($40/13GB) just this past black friday.

Essentially you call in, tell them you want a new phone but won't switch plans. If you get a nice rep, they'll agree to manually switch your plan back after upgrading in store or online with an in-market plan.

I did the same thing last year as well when I was on a BYOD plan.

YMMV - I posted this in the other thread for "getting extra 4gb for free". I'm in Vancouver BC. I saw this Specifically at Royal City mall in New Westminster 2 days ago. I didn't check if this was available through retentions or anything else. I have my own phone and had enough of Fido and needed something quick.

I also called to ask if they can match $45 for 20gb advertised on the freedom website right now and the Koodo agent said the best he could offer me is the additional 4gb for free. So now I've got $45 for 12gb. I would never even approach 12gb, it's just nice to have.

Have my upvotw though OP. $50 for 8gb is still decent.
