Is it still possible to cancel and pay off the tab right away when receiving the phone? Thus I would only pay the upfront device cost and the remaining tab balance? Just making sure nothing has changed in their policies recently.

I don't know about outright cancelling, but I tried to pay off my tab (while keeping the plan) and it told me I had to wait 90 days. Isn't that what the "seasonal hold" thing was all about?

Now medium tab for me is $45/month before I could use my $40/month 6gb plan. Yayyyy I logged out and now it works.
That one works too.

$660 for the Huawei P20 Pro seems pricey compared to $410 for the LG V30...

Much better specs and more recent model. Triple camera is very tempting...

I was just proving to @valence that the $40/6GB works with medium tab. And it's actually $710 ($350+$360), cheaper with large at $680 ($200+$480).

I can get both the LG G7 or V30 on small or medium tab keeping my plan. Time to return the LG G6 I just got from Walmart. Just need to decide which one I want.

I ponder the same. V line is supposed to be > to G line, but V30 is older model. V30 has less raw HP under the hood, but significantly better rated battery life.

You also get an oled screen with the v30 but lg LCDs are pretty good. Headphone jack is at the bottom of the G7 which is a small detail but I definitely prefer the headphone jack at the bottom.

I wish there was an ir blaster on the v30, I would've been all over it with this deal.

Koodo site down right now. Perhaps it was a 'whoops' and they're revoking the deal? If so, kudos to those who jumped on it!! I missed the boat.

V30 is OLED where as Huawei is LCD. The display is one big important factor to choose a phone I think

It's still possible, but strongly recommend you do this:
Put on seasonal hold for 3 months at $15/month
Get a referral credit of $50 from another Koodo mobile member (or yourself if you already have a line), then the referral credit covers the 3 months completely.

This is a win-win for everybody. Dealers make their money so you don't make them work for nothing (they lose their commission if you cancel right away), and you're no worse off either way. This helps everybody in the future also. If everybody started to cancel right away, dealers might start to complain about the policies, which will possibly lead Koodo to changing their policies so nobody will be able to benefit in the future.

Just do it right... if you need a referral, just ask somebody to PM you and I'm sure you'll get some replies (since they get $50 credit too)... benefits everybody.
