Actually, looking back at that old thread, I think the 3 months was only for people buying the phone on an actual tab (there was a promo credit), then cancelling. For buying outright I don't think that applies.

Officially the phone is not allowed to be sold on pre-paid, you'd likely have better luck with a reseller than you would at a Koodo Shop but you might get lucky.

There are other resellers besides Tbooth and WW. Off the top of my head, WoW Mobile, Best Buy Mobile and numerous Authorized Koodo Reseller stores/Cellular Points sell Koodo devices. I'm pretty sure PC Mobile and Wal-Mart Mobile also sell Koodo. Not sure if any will sell you the device outright but I would think you'd have better luck there than with the Koodo Shop's themselves. That said, I'd highly advise not doing a credit check with the Authorized Dealers that have Koodo written on the side or a Cellular Point is they tend not to know what the **** they're doing.
