Thanks for the post, one up vote from me.

However:
1. koodo today is not the koodo before, you know what I mean.
2. Huawei today is not the Huawei before, also you know what I mean.
3. 360+360=720+ tax= 800-ish is what you need to pay for this phone, consider the OnePlus 7T for 6XX$ CAD or even 580$ CAD all in that people are buying, is this a good deal, not really, right?

again, thanks for the effort posting this deal though.

The P30 Pro is a much better phone than the 7T, but the downside of locking you in for 2 years, is probably not worth it. I'm happy with my koodo account, and love my p20 pro, and this might be a good deal for new people signing, and happy locking in for 2 years, but its not terribly hot, more "fair or warm".

Wut? Aside from still photos, whats better? 7T has better hardware and better screen, 90hz. Oxygen OS is the closest to Vanilla android with useful features. It is also probably the 2nd best at providing android software updates. EMUI and poor notifications ruin nice hardware.

And dev support for Lineage etc ROMs for Huawei basically gone after P20 pro.

You are locked in. Paying off the tab isn't the problem (afaik they'll let you do that without changing your contract), it's changing your plan and/or trying to get a new phone in under 2 yrs.

In plain speak, the contract should state that this phone comes with a $20 / month penalty for any months left on a 24 month term when you try to change plans or get a new phone.

Nope it's not. I'm not positive but I believe it's any contract longer than 24 months that's no longer allowed.

edit: If they wanted to be upfront about the way this works they'd call it a $35 tab w/ a 24 month $20 / month bill credit.

Getting a new phone on the same line is now considered breaking the contract? I don't think it used to be. I paid off my old phone to get a new one last Christmas, without any penalty.
