Koodo Mobile Service Outages

I recently experienced a very long service outage (more than a day) and the most they would give me to compensate was $1.51 after a large amount of pushing. I even added the fact that I couldn't call them to get it fixed because their phone lines gave the automated COVID-19 message and dropped the call. + my internet was down at the same time so I had not data + no internet + stuck at home due to COVID with important things to submit

Anyone else ever manage to get more out of them?

Where are you located? When did this happen?

I've been with Koodo since Feb 2018 and don't recall being without service for more than an hour in Toronto.

1st time I’ve heard Koodo having a service outage. Normally it’s very reliable.
Sounds like they credited you the cost of 1 day service.

All providers have service outages.

Numerous Telus customers in Alberta were dealing with no wireless service around 8am PDT, with reports of no signal for Telus and Koodo customers from Edmonton to Calgary.

$1.51 is pathetic compensation.

I've not heard of Koodo offering much in terms of compensation in the past.

All you can do is escalate the matter.

That looks like they've offered to compensate you for about 1 day of a $45/month plan. If your monthly plan is more than $45 a month, you could probably file a CCTS complaint to get compensated according to your actual plan amount. You're not gonna get more than a straight refund for the amount of time that you didn't have service, though.

The one in question is $40 a month for 4GB. So, after escalation, the most they did was $40*1.13/30 = $1.51

Yeah, it was a $40 plan. Is there any particular reason you mentioned the $45 threshold?

Therefore they offered you the equivalent of the single day of outage as you previously experienced? I’m I correct?

LOL.... How much money are you actually expecting ?

If you want "compensation" and not a downtime credit, then you will have to go through small claims court and prove your damages.

If you are using this as a "business" line and suffered damages, then you should've planned a contingency line.

LOL

$1.51 x 30 equals roughly $45.

So Koodo was “Generous” enough to provide a Goodwill Credit with taxes isn’t?
