[Koodo] Online Special Offer - Extra 2GB on $50+ Plans (Targeted?)

Saw this Koodo offer on Facebook. Not sure if it's targeted. I'm located in Ontario.
Use our promo code to get access to exclusive $50+ plans that come with an extra 2 GB.
Available to new customers only with the Tab or when you “Bring your own phone.”
Limited-time offer. Online exclusive.

(1) Not eligible for customers adding a line.

Bringing your own phone?
Here’s how to get more:
1. Add a SIM card to your cart.
2. Enter promo code WEBPROMO to see the exclusive plans.
3. Add a plan to your cart.
4. Select Checkout to seal the deal.
5. You’re all done - enjoy the extra data every month!

Need a phone?
Here’s how to get it:
1. Pick a phone and a Tab to add to your cart.
2. Enter promo code WEBPROMO to see the exclusive plans.
3. Add a plan to your cart.
4. Select Checkout to seal the deal.
5. You’re all done - enjoy the extra data every month!
For BYOD plans, this means:
- $50 for 10GB
- $60 for 12GB
- $70 for 14GB
- $80 for 17GB

$50 for 10GB seems okay - in line with previous promos. The more expensive plans are quite meh.

Koodo charges $10 for plan changes even when it is a deal that you can only get from the reps...theyre dead in my books

I made a change to my plan late spring and I didn't get billed anything extra, is this a new policy?

I think the $10 is for calling in and not specifically for plan changes. Reading between the lines of sushibucket, they shouldn't have been charged as self serve doesn't have the option to change to said plan. I think a call in to complain about it should fix the issue or it won't. Doesn't hurt to try.

I tried, they just said screw you it cannot be waived because my deal is an "exception" or whatever that idiot on the phone was saying. I am leaving Koodo 100%. They basically deter you from calling in to negotiate overpriced plans by slapping a $10 fee, and also allowing them to hire less customer service reps. Absolute garbage

Keep in mind they specify that your data is 4g-LTE with these new plans, so if you have 5G in your future, maybe you don't want this.
