Yes. As long as it's as active IMEI. It can be a brick.

You can try, bu I'm just saying what their website states. If that's the case they are losing $300 per phone.

So you're opening a new line if you want an S8, although you can always return the phone as you can do that within (14 days?) and opt for the S8.
I can open up one account with 3 lines and then port/cancel all three to get 3 S7's?

And I can open a new line without jeopardizing my OOP QC plan? And then cancel?

So purchase it and put it on the vacation hold for $15 a month adding $45 extra.

So calculation will be = LG G6 - $70 upfront + $240 small tab + $45 holiday hold - $75 = $280.
I'm confused with your calculation... If it's $120 small tab minus $75 trade in = $45 + $240 small tab = $285

So if you add the holiday hold x3 $15 = $45 So total for the phone should be $330 unless I'm missing something?

If you need to be with Koodo (so you can cancel and port out), WOW has a good deal for iphone 6 (32GB) and 7 (32GB).

Iphone 6 (32GB): $0 + $360 on 2-year Medium tab less 150 gift card less a trade in with any of your old phone. Walmart has also a good deal with $200 GC, but no trade-in.
Iphone 7 (32GB) : No gift card. But, it's $0 + $504 on 2-year Large Plan less a trade in with any of your old phone.

I updated it now. I made a mistake when I initially read OP's post.

So I just spoke to Koodo and they confirmed yes there is a 3 month wait period before you can pay off the tab, if you cancel before there's extra fee but you can add the holiday hold x3 $15 ea = $45. The guy laughed when I said so that's how you bypass the 3 mth hold lol Face With Tears Of Joy

Edit: fixed the math
You can't go on vacation hold until AFTER your first month. So you pay 1st month full rate, then can do vacation hold.. it would be more like $60.

Calling in to cancel before 90 days will cause clawbacks/resistance. I've heard easiest way bypass 90 days to get tab paid off is to buy a prepaid SIM and port out your koodo number to that carrier. I've never done it that way. I've done vacation hold in the past (LG G3)

Weird when I bought the same deal on the LG G3 I put it on vacation hold same day. We probably bought the same deal on RFD too.

Getting more complicated now lol Can someone confirm this is the case? The Koodo rep I just spoke with didin't mention paying for full month with vacation hold...
