[Koodo] Pixel 4a $10 tab mid or plus

Koodo is offering again the Pixel 4a for $10/month on tab mid or plus (with a $300 tab bonus).
Unfortunately they don't allow it on tab basic (they do, but with $240 down).
Nice price for those who have a $45 or more monthly plan.

Not a bad deal.
I'm in Ontario and I get $100 bill credit as a new customer so its
$45/mo for 10 months and $55/mo for 15 mos.
You get pixel 4a and 6GB of data a month.

Closest I've seen to the zoomer 7GB/$45 monthly plan with pixel 4a.

FWIW, I think that comes with a $100 bill credit as well.

I did the Zoomer deal. 4a with referral and bill credit came to $200 on a 24 month commitment $45 plan. Seemed to be as good as it was going to get.

Fido gave me my 4a 5G for $5 per month, and they were offering the 4a for $1 at the time. The 4a is a good budget phone but $10 per month is too much IMO.

Depends what you are paying for the plan. If the plan is more expensive, you can consider the difference as payment for the phone.
And for me, Telus's network has been more reliable than Rogers.

Fido (through Costco) offered me a Pixel 4a for $0 down, $10/month x 24 months, $150 Costco gift card, and $45/month for 10 GB.

As an existing Koodo customer, they were able to beat Fido/Costco by $25 over a 2-year period: $0 down, $6.88/month x 24 months (shows up as $10/month x 24 months, minus a one-time $75 tab adjustment), $100 bill credit split over 10 months, and $45/month for 8 GB plus free 2 GB loyalty addon.

So this is a 2020 Pixel phone for $140 total? Why isn't this thread more popular

Because you can't cancel and run with Koodo anymore. If you do, you have to pay back the tab bonus.

That and most folks with the $40 migration plan are only eligible for tab basic now
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

Hasn't the Pixel 5 been released? Why is this phone still retailing for $480 in Canada?

maybe because pixels are a depreciating asset compared to other competitors like apple and samsung

The A line is separate from the main line. The 5 does not replace the 4a. The former is budget. It is succeeded by the 5a.

It’s similar to Samsung A series versus S series.
