If I had the $40 8gb PM Migration Plan, I wouldn't bother risking it to save an extra $1 a month and 2 extra gb's. I have the 4 gb at $40 though so I am considering it.

It is a good trap for users that do not read fine prints.
I will be worry.

Just completed my upgrade:

Was: $49 Ult call + txt + 8Gb Data +$20 medium tab repayment

Now: $25 ult call + txt + $10 small tab repayment (+$440 upfront for a Samsung S10 128gb) + DATA text promotion i recieved a few days ago $14 for 6GB

In total bill went from ~$78 dollars for 8gb to ~$55 with 6GB. Will sell the S10 as i really like the P20 Pro i got last time and it will cover the Upfront and existing tab balances from other device.

Pretty happy with $20 a month saving for 2GB less :)

Oh and for those who worry, i texted DATA back to koodo after doing the upgrade and got a reply back in seconds confirming that it had been added. I got a text for Koodo a few days ago with 2GB for $10 a month and 6GB for $14 a month. Not as nice as the 10Gb some people get but enough for me :)

I'm not sure it's much of a risk. It's now proven the text works after downgrading to 25gb. If you can talk someone into letting you downgrade, it's pretty certain the text will work (assuming you were texted the offer). That's why I did it. It would of been risky if a few people hadn't tried it before me.

Yes you are reading it wrong. It is a targeted promo only to current customers. No point in trying for new customers.

I'm currently with bell and I love their coverage and LTE speed in Hamilton/Stoney Creek area. Can I expect the same reliability and speed with Koodo?

It should work fine for now, but the concern is having it taken away in the future. I think I will take the chance as well though and just switch back to PM if all goes bad.

No. I am with Koodo for 6 years now. My plan was $45 for 5GB.

My wife got this data text but deleted.
Is it going to work after downgrading my plan to $25 and reply back to 5188 or it's too much of risk?
