Able to get the addon tonight by texting

Can't see option to change plan to $25 plan.

Customer service is closed when I tried 611

Only plan change options are $55 and higher.

That's too bad, as I just gave up a plan with 6gb included the plan, but with the amount I am saving, I can afford to just pay as you go with voice roaming, or buy a roaming sim if I am away for a period of time.

Does anyone anecdotally have experience otherwise?
Damn, this would suck! I travel to the US often and loved the easy roam. Hmmm, well too late now I guess.

Lol thanks. Any advice what phone to choose now... The a5 will end up costing me $120...is this the best choice.

The $120 credits won't apply on the $25 plan

Just a word of caution: this data is not shock free data and you will be charged overage fees if you go over the limit. System does not pause the data when you hit the limit since the base plan does not offer data.

Easy roam should still work with data add-on.

umm, interesting. I thought the base plan comes with the shock free data? The 10gb should be prepaid and once it is fully used it should fall back to the base plan hence the shock free data protection?

Base $25 plan is “pay-per-use” data.

As for easy roaming data. From Koodo’s easy roam page: “If you need more data, you can always top-up at Koodo's Canadian rates.” If I am reading it correctly then the 10gb add on is eligible for easy roam since it is a “top-up”

I've been on travel into the states 3x in the last 2 months for work and utilizing a base plan (No data) w/10gb add-on and easy roam. Data Add-on definitely kicks in for data and voice.

I could set the option to pause my data when I reach the limit on my addon

Login->click on self serve->click on usage->click on change data settings->select "Yes! Send xxx-xxx-xxxx data limit text alerts"

You will get notified when you reach certain percentage and if you reach 100% you get your data paused
