[Koodo] Update#2 $35 - 10GB (after credits) YMMV /12 months

Koodo Kiosk “Upper Canada Mall” (ON)

14 years Fido customer, called them few times - no good plans…

Switched to Koodo:

1st line $35/10GB first year; $45/10GB second year

2nd line $30/10GB first year; $40/10GB second year

No contract, activation fees waived. After 2 years it is $50/10GB.

Received winback call next day from Fido: $40/12GB + $100 credit. No thank you.

Update
Received my first bill. All credits are there and activation fee waived (-$50).

What is new for me is that credits are before tax
So $10 is $8.85 and $5 is $$4.42 Thinking Face

Update #2

Deal is still live, had a friend getting same offer on Sep 5

Fido win back should have been way more generous.
Loyal customers don't just look at the numbers. It's about the bitterness.

I think everyone should just copy the public mobile model where the longer you stay with them, the better discount you get.
SalesForce does not honor deals.

Wow, would love to get this plan, Do you have picture of any sign at their store? Is it only at that location?

Bright side of RFD: Often find good deal
Dark side of RFD: Tons of stuff that I don't need but still got them because of RFD

Reminds me of similar deal i got last year. Only available at mall kiosk. Not advertised on any websites. Hate to say it during Covid, but go your local mall and check out any unadvertised deals they are offering. Or even ask them.

There is no sign, but the guys are very helpful!
Not sure about other locations. You can try and call.

Does there have to be two lines or just one? And what were the discounts received?

Waiving the activation fees on this makes it tempting... I just left Koodo because they couldn't match the $40/10gb but dammit, $5 is $5.

Just one line needed. Second line - will get an extra $5 credit for 24 months.

The credits are:
$10 credit 12 months; $5 credit 24 months (stackable)

Called Dufferin Mall location (close to me). No go. Dude sounded thoroughly confused with me making these outlandish claims. "An affordable plan in ON... You, sir, must be smoking crack!" Smiling Face With Sunglasses

Same here with the locations close to me. One even mentioned that the other person would have violated policy

Isnt the Fido plan better given you get a $100 credit which = $8.25 discount for the first year?

Thanks, so I guess those that only want one line will have a $40/10GB deal. Freedom Mobile is offering the same thing, and it won't expire after 1 year.

I find Koodo coverage better.
And the difference not that big to go through porting process again.

Hillcrest koodo booth (not corporate store) has $40 for 10gb (essentially $50+tax with $10 credit) new activations for 24 months. No contract. They waive the $50 activation fee but have to pay a $15+tax “connection fee”. Won’t waive it.

Hey, on your self serve, do you see evidence of the 15 and 20 dollar credits, respectively, for both plans? The base plan is apparently 50.

I got this plan also. Just have to keep an eye out for when it expires and find something similar price wise.

Credits will appear on first bill.

I didn’t get one yet.
