Koodo waiving tab balance
Just got a text message from Koodo about waiving tab balance by "renewing" with Koodo by May 31st.
"If you renew with Koodo by May 31, 2019 we'll waive your Tab balance. Seriously."
I can't see any mention of this in the self serve area of the Koodo website though. AFAIK, I am not in a plan that even requires renewal (8GB for $40 PubMob offer).

This seems like a poorly executed, veiled attempt to move people off of their plum $40/45 6/8GB Public Mobile transfer offers.
You only get your tab balance paid off if you get a new phone on a tab plan. Since the $40 plan is no longer large enough for a tab, you're forced to get a more expensive, worse plan. No going back.
