[Koodo] YMMV : Koodo Winback 50$ 14GB data + Unlimited Canada calls + 1000 international

I got a call from Koodo today for a winback.

Left Koodo 2 years ago to Virgin
- The one they offered me was 50$ 14GB data + Unlimited Canada calls + Free international messages + 1000 international to some specific countries

I did not take it as the VM $40 - 6GB Plan is plenty for me.

The number to call them is 1-866 264 2964

This is very much YMMV.

Good for you at having self control like that. I’m on a 11gb/$40 plan and would have considered pulling the trigger.
If it’s not at least 50% off is it really a deal?

I rarely cross 4 gb with wifi at home and work. I have 2 lines and this would add 20$ permonth.

Yeah it would be for the bonus features. Need the long distance more than anything.

Can someone confirm that this is a legitimate offer from koodo? I think I remember there was a scam running before, claiming to be from koodo...
Hard to believe that they are calling after 2 years...just my thoughts
Did anyone here actually get this offer?

Seems plausible. In all likelihood, it's the $50/10gb plan that's currently available on Koodo's website, with a $0 4gb addon.
Fido - $40/25gb x2

Bell Gigabit Fibe - $49.95

You still could. I'm assuming your $40/11gb is a $40/6gb + $0/5gb addon. If you call Koodo and ask for that plan, I don't see why they wouldn't allow it, since you'd be moving to a more expensive base plan.

With regards to this, I was on the $50/9GB promotion from 2020. Called in to get the $50/10GB plan, was given a $0/1GB addon, then was contacted by Koodo Marketing team a couple days ago. They tried to upsell me on adding a line or a new phone, I declined, and after some conversation was given a $0/4GB addon, so I'm now on a $50/14GB plan. It's totally plausible.

Will see what I can get...was with Koodo for about 3-4 years, switched over to Rogers for the corporate $50 for 20GB plan. Would rather drop down in data for a better phone subsidy. I was on Koodo $50 for 8gb + 5gb add on before back in November 2020 I think.

Is the Pixel 4a5g at 20 up front + tab mid good? Or even the Pixel 5 at 125 + tab mid?

Edit: Later reps said this was a mistake and won't give it...

So I gave them a call, they offered me:

$50 for 4GB + 8GB, basically 12GB
$0 down, Tab Plus for 24 months OR $120 and Tab Mid for 24 months (both are basically $480)
$120 device credit
$143 off my first bill

That basically makes the 4a 5G a $360 phone, and another $143 off the bill. I'm looking at the site, seems like I'm getting an extra 2GB compared to the typical $50 for 10GB, and also an extra $120 off the device...Kinda tempting with my Pixel 3 slowly losing steam battery wise.

Is that decent? I'm coming from the Rogers corporate plan of $50 for 20GB BYOD but TBH the 20GB is way overkill. Even the $50 for 8GB + 5GB I was on with Koodo before was enough TBH.

They're currently out of the Pixel 5 right now.

Edit: called back and was told this doesn't exist and did not allow it.

It's legit, I also got the same offer,
Refused told them I'm on a business plan where I get 20GB for $55.
Then he offered $60 for 18GB,
Refused again, the 1000 US and international minutes were included in both.

Lol, literally just called right back, now they're not offering the $120 device credit and refusing to acknowledge it. Sigh. First rep I tried to ask for employee number and name, said this is a general win-back offer that any rep would give you. I'm usually good with asking for a reference number, employee etc but failed this time.

Edit: and now they're saying they don't give out bill credits online. Damnit, should have took the first offer.

GTEH!
Had the same thing happen, Koodo Winback call.
However, Koodo couldn't offer me what I currently have with Zoomer, $36 5GB plan. AND the Koodo CSR said he'd transfer me to Loyalty. Next thing I know I hear "Welcome to Telus, please hold". What an IDIOTIOTIC CSR. Transfers me to Telus.

Whelp, the first guy's offer isn't on the table anymore and after trying OP's a few number a few times, they just kept saying it isn't on the notes and that they've already given me what they can, referencing all the other times I've called in a row. Basically, they'll give me a best:

Pixel 4a 5G
$0 down, $20 x 24 months
$50/month for 6GB + 8GB
$100 Device Credit

Nowhere near as good as my first offer. So mad at myself for not taking it at first. Whatever, I'll just stick to my plan of upgrading another time.

I just got called from Koodo today for a win back offer (to go to telus). $45 for 25gb peace of mind plan unlimited canada calling, plus because i have 2 lines, i get the family discount of $7.5 per line, so ended up $37.5 per month per line. Activation fee of $40 (i think) is credited as well.

I have ported to freedom back in Nov, and i believe this specific win back plan is for people who ported to freedom. I was with koodo for couple of years and the phone number that called me was 1-866-448-8030.

I am in Ontario btw.

They are also offering this to existing Public mobile customer. I've got a call and was offered $50/14GB plan or $45/5GB.

Can verify in BC as a Public Mobile customer I did get the above deal.
Currently $50 8.5gb PM plan with $6 credits. 2 lines.
Called number listed above. Originally could only do $50/12gb deal w/ 1000 Long Distance that includes US. This is big for me as I can call family down there without worrying about using facetime everytime. However, rep stated that once account is created he may have more flexibility. Once account was created I was offered the $50/14gb plan with same LD minutes. I was running up against my 8.5gb limit and the lack of voLTE on public mobile is also a big downside.

Happy to spend $6 more for 5.5GB more at full LTE speed and the same LD minutes.

I was with Telus before moving over to Fido for $50 for 9GB. They offered me a Telus plan at first but it was a bit more expensive. I rejected and they offered a Koodo plan with 14Gb for $50 plus waived connection fee on both devices.
