Thanks op. And Best Buy pm people. Winking Face

I've had one of these for a few years and it works quite well for road trips when you're hotel-ing it.
It's large enough for a few essentials and small enough to haul to and from your room.
It's capable of keeping a couple bottles of water frozen, if you keep your stops under several hours.
The AC adapter is a nice option but most hotel rooms come with a fridge these days.

Mine's showing it's age and could use an update.
It still works fine except for the stupid proprietary hot/cold plug they use for the power cord.
One of the pins broke off so it's now plugless and permanently in cold mode.

So today I happened to look out my open front door and there was my item just sitting there delivered by Canpar.
No knock on door,no ringing of door bell ; just left. Two hours later get email from Walmart that my package was to be delivered tomorrow.
What a screwed up company.
Its how you get cheap shipping, overwork the non union workers using their own cars to deliver as many as possible. Walmart and Amazon also makes them as third parties so they can't hold responsibility for what happens to the workers. They can fine the companies for not hitting targets either.

If you're hoping for a free upgrade mine came from the US and that is likely where the mixup happened.

I ordered from BB and got $7.99 in Price Beat (paid $52). Walmart=$60, BB=$139.99, BB does PM+10%. It's bigger than I pictured and you can only run heat for 45min or something. We'll see.

I just tried PMing with BB and they said 'No' because item is on Clearance.
You got lucky.

Thanks for the heads up - was looking for one of these. Ended up ordering via Amazon and getting an adapter as well. Let's see how it all works on camping trips...

I ordered from BB(second try since Amazon delivered the wrong one) and price matched Amazon without issue.

how do I Price match on Bestbuy.ca? do i have to order it first? thanks

edit:
I search forum and follow the previous advise and call bestbuy support and select "customer services"; and I point them to the amazon.ca site for price and the agent verify and approve the price and place order for me. the entire process was efficient and fast, and very professional. also big plus, sound like BestBuy call centre is in North America or Canada, kudo for Bestbuy for that.

Yes, wait for the order to confirm then go back to the order status page and use the chat feature to request it. It was surprisingly painless.

some campground has outlet and shall be good to keep your food cool, read review posted on amazon.ca, the temperature goes 20C below ambient and that's it, so while it's good for drinks and certain food, good to watch out if you need to keep it around 1-5c (such as meat).

I finally got it price matched at BB with Amazon.ca .
The rep went through the whole product description and had to get a 2nd opinion, but it finally got approved!
Amazon.ca's product name is "Koolatron 18 qt. Compact Cooler" and the product description & specifications are not in metric.

Mine arrived from Best Buy.

I'm pretty happy with it for less than $60 including tax!

That packaging is a blast from the past (and I suppose the item too, they haven't changed in ages!)

Is it always 20C less? If the ambient temperature is 15C, this will go to -5C?
