I was at the Dollarama and I noticed that they are selling those 12v car vacuums for $4. I did an online search and only found them on the Amazon site for the UK, going for £15.34, or about $27.15 Canadian.

Anyway, I picked one up, and they are quite small, and should fit into your trunk with ease. Suction is decent for its size. It's rated at 60 watts. Only difference between the Dollarama Model and UK was the colour, as mine was black. Though perhaps they'll have white as well.

I saw one today...the filter doesn't even hold properly so when you remove it to clean, everything will fall out if you aren't careful. I do like how the end attachment is slim and long

I don't really need it, but for $4, it beats lugging out my actual vacuum cleaner to the car. hope I remember to look for it.

This is a waste of money. It has no suction at all. I bought a shark which was very well reviewed and I could've picked up the sand and rocks quicker with my hands than the vacuum.

Honestly I'm done with purchasing junk that will end up in land fills.

I bought a black and Decker battery operated vacuum and that surprisingly has a lot of power. I've been using that to clean my car amongst over things. I don't believe there's a handle to use it as a floor vacuum so I'm unable to use it to clean my apartment. I haven't really checked though.

Which one is it? You have model number?

And how long have you been using it? I got a black and Decker on battery before, was pretty decent when it was new. After a few months, it still sounded like it's working, but sucked up nothing

My parents put one of these in with an emergency kit we got as a gift for Christmas. Not even enough suction to pick up a cheerio - Save your money kids.

I bought it off amazon, the deal was posted a bit ago. It's the one that folds in half. It's going pretty strong still. Coming up on two years I think. Battery life has gotten worse but it's nothing to complain about.
