Laminate: Hardness & Baseboards
I'm venturing into my first flooring project and I had 2 questions.
How important and how much difference is there between the hardness ratings of laminate flooring? The flooring we like the most (at lowes) is only rated at AC3. Our second favorite is AC4, they even carried some AC5 stuff but couldn't find any we liked. We have 2 little kids, no pets. Rooms being done are living room and dining room, main floor. Would I regret going with an AC3?
Secondly, Lowes has all trim on for 50% currently. My baseboards are just builders grade MDF stuff. Should I try and remove the baseboards, lay the floor and reinstall? I don't want to do the leave it installed and then install quarter round after idea. Or just trip it out and replace it with new?
