Laptop Recommendations from Costco

I would like to purchase from Costco due to the generous return policy, but would consider others if the deal would be worth it.

I would like a computer with screen size of 15 inches (or larger), since I won’t be connecting to any monitors.

The laptop will be used for the following:
1. Browsing the Web
2. Watching Netflix
3. Gaming: Specifically Age of Empires 4

Budget: 1,200 but would prefer to keep it under 1,000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Costco allows 90 day returns on computers. Still better than 30 days at other retailers though.

Try Visions and Bestbuy as well.

BB is only 2 weeks. Usually problems happen after that period.

I have a couple of HP laptops from Costco - one is around 10 years old and the other about 4. No issues with either of them.

Your requirements really falls down to can it play Age of empires 4. These are the average requirements for the game, so this will fit the bill. You can easily get a better computer, but at costco this is the most "cost effective" Keep note, the Ram they "prefer is 16g", but this is 8. GPU is more important overall, but I don't think this would impact the game play.

CPU: 3.6 GHz 6-core (Intel i5) or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 | CPU with AVX support required
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10 64bit | Windows 11 64bit
VIDEO CARD: Nvidia GeForce 970 GPU or AMD Radeon RX 570 GPU with 4GB of VRAM
PIXEL SHADER: 5.1
VERTEX SHADER: 5.1
