laser printer cartriges, what brand at 123cartriges?

Hi folks,

Got a Brother MFC-9120CN. At 123crtriges, I can choose kits from genuine Brother (295$), Moustache (115$) or ecobox (75$). I'm not looking for the least expensive but the best price/quality. Checked the reviews but I don't 100% trust them so I'm asking here.

I got the full set (4 cartridges) for a Brother MFC-9130CW, two months ago. All work pretty good, I don't notice any quality difference compared to the initial ones it came with. The brand I picked was Moustache. They have an explanation of the differences between the cheapest ones and Moustache. I remember I decided to go with the mid priced set because of what I read there.

Same as posted above. Have been using Moustache ones in our 9340CDW without issues. On our 3rd set now and plan on getting more of the same when needed.

I bought the ecobox/cheapest option for a Samsung monochrome printer. The black is more like a very dark grey.

What did they compare them to?

What makes them better than the 'cheap' ones?

Are they better than the $23 ones on ebay or the $20 ones on amazon? The Amazon ones aren't 'cheap' unless you have Prime?

The cheapest 'moustache' ones are $27 so I was wondering if anyone has tried buying the ones on ebay or amazon (the cheap ones).

To the other cheaper ones called "Economical Box" or "White Box". Also sold on their website.

I bought a few HP printers that were lasers. I tried refilling them using bottled toner which was OK but messy. Now I buy the cheapest toner cartridge at 123ink (12A) and have no problems. I tried the moustache one too and find no problems either. I have bought about 10 cartridges from them and all turn out ok.

Well I cant comment on the cheaper ebay one. I have been very satisfied with the Moustache from 123 I believe they also sell on amazon?
My daughter bought some from V4ink but have not seen its output yet.

In another thread someone mentioned same... that 123 sells on ebay and amazon... possibly same inks for less $$
2022: BOC raised 3 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017 to 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

Costco online also sells Moustache ink. Not sure how price compares to 123.

The combo that I buy (TN221 and TN225) seems to be similar in price. 123 is better if there is a coupon or a sale. Costco is better when not discounted. On 123 the regular price is $145 and Costco is $160 but comes with an extra black toner.

FWIW, for Canon 045H compatible toner, 123ink uses Aster.

I have no clue whether Aster toner is any good.
Please do not PM me for tech support. I help out on the forums when I can. Thank you.
