Laser printer deal

Looking to buy a laser printer. Can anyone recommend a deal? I've only had injets in the past. Browsing through Staples showed a lot of black and white models from ~$170 to $250. Majority out of stock though. Ideally I'd prefer colour too but it looks like that may be out of the budget. Don't want to go above $250-$300.

Thanks

Any comments on these below?

Lexmark c3224dw colour $239

i would highly recommend brother laser printers.
you can buy off-label ink for $16 on amazon from various sellers.

Also... wait for a sale as they go on sale quite often

do not look at purchase price of the printer... look at ink prices when ur ready to buy ink

black and white are much smaller in size... color are much bigger and much heavier also

then you have single sided vs double sided printing

Also sign up at Brother for deals as well as to check out Our Refurbished Product Solutions. I see refurb'd monochromes starting at $120 although they're OOS, probably due to WFH demand.

Check Best Buy, Staples, etc. weekly flyers for sales. There's no need to pay "regular" prices.

I'd also recommend Brother Refurb especially on sale and 123ink for toner.

Bumping this as I am looking for a basic b/w laser printer. Everyone seems to be recommending Brother refurbs, but even these seem kinda expensive to me for refurb (was expecting <$150)..

Is this normal printer pricing now, or is this due to a printer shortage/covid inflation Crying Face)?

my cheapass has been watching the brother refurbs the whole pandemic. whenever anything comes back in stock, the price is much higher than the previous refurb price and only marginally cheaper than a new one. i saw some oos priced at 120 that would be perfect for me but when they come back, they're suddenly 190 with a new one being 220. like okay...

it's basically been a pointless exercise as someone trying to get a laser for <150 and kind of turned me off the brand. all the positive comments are from people who paid much less for their identical printers years ago.
