NOTE: Final Sale. Research sizing. I am probably a size and a half less than my normal sizing. Regular width. If you're wider, you'll probably be a size down and if really wide footed - then a half down only.

You can pay more and try from Altitude also, free returns.

This isn't your Aldo grade Glued Chinese/Indian grade boot.

Meticulously recreated from a 1940s pattern, the Wolverine 1000 Mile 1940 boot is re-imagined heritage design. It features a seamless contour-back to cup your ankle along with a clean mock toe design. The upper is constructed with a Horween veg-tan leather from the finest Tannery in Chicago, developing a beautiful patina. Time-tested Goodyear Welt construction fuses the boot to the Butyl-treated leather outsole. Vibram rubber on the heel improves your grip on slippery surfaces.

Nice find!

Can anyone comment on how they fit? Same as Iron Rangers?

Looks like final sale so no return if sizing is an issue...

Just so others are aware, this is a 250 dollar pair of boots that's final sale.

Yes, final sales suck :( I wanted to try them out, but it's an expensive bet.

Size-wise, I find them to be almost a full size larger in length and about half size larger in width. I normally wear 8.5 but bought 7.5. Leather stretches so the width was fine after a week of wear. I did buy mine over ten years ago, so sizing may have changed, although the last is likely the same...kind of like how American (or North American) sizes have become significantly larger over time, compared to other countries.

Nice find, too bad the original is already sold out.
I like the sole and the upper design better. Upvote

Last Hunt should really make it that shoes can be returned as you really need the exact fit to be right vs. a shirt or pants...

I love boots, but i'm also a cheapo. This is a half joking recommendation from me, but if anyone is looking for old time style, old time quality construction, and general badassness, I grabbed a pair of these Finnish jackboots a week or so ago for a great price (bet they were a fraction of this in the 70's and 80's though) https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/ ... plus/30216

SportingLife has these ones on sale for $347. There’s another thread with a 20% coupon that would bring it down to $277.... a little bit more but you would have the option to return.

Not a fan of the soles on these, unfortunately. Still nice boots.

looking at the sole seems like it would slip badly on icy roads. anyone actually wears these in the winter or it's more of a fall boot?

The reviews online say the laces break easily, and the soles aren't very good for winter.

You’d want to put Vibrams on them, which makes it even more expensive.

It's not just the risk of slipping on leather soles, but how quickly they wear out. There are a lot of reviews of these boots where the buyer is shocked by how quickly the soles wore all the way through. Not exactly cheap to re-sole, either.

Just don't buy ignorantly then *shrugs*.

Be educated, as all RFD PRosumers are :).

Half sole vibrams are a must if you intend on extensive wet weather/winter use. Then again, these are dressy/casual work boots, not exactly insulated -10~20C rated boots.
