Correct me if I am wrong, only MBNA allows BT to bank account.
Ok, thanks. I guess it's only useful if you use it to pay off other credit cards.

You mean 'I BT for profit'. It's never fun waiting on the line to get CS to redistribute CL. :)

Lolz. I've been doing CL merge with MBNA credit dept via phone fairly quickly, so can't really complain.

It definitely varies. It's too bad motusbank isn't doing uLOCs now (at least not advertised, that I'm aware of -- maybe it's available if you phone and talk to a rep), because they had a very good online tool that would allow you to enter your info to see how much you'd qualify for, and at what rate (resulted in a soft credit hit, and if you accepted the uLOC, you could turn the query into an application which resulted in a hard hit). Might be worth giving them a call to see if this is still available, even though it's no longer visible on their website. I only learned about motusbank last summer because of RFD, and I'm completely happy with it. I qualified for a $30K uLOC at 5.65%, and right now it's dropped to 4.70%. I barely ever keep a balance on there because of BTs, which are a great way to carry the uLOC balance for a few months at a time at a low rate, and you can bounce between them as offers come up.

Hi,

Yesterday, got approved for RBC cash bank MC. It shows up in my accounts. Can I ask for credit redistribution and balance transfer before the card is activated? First time BT with RBC. So do I simply move cash from the card to checking account and that would be a BT?

Also, fyi, RBC does not offer the visa platinum at 5.9%. The link in the OP goes back to main page of that card without the BT offer.

Thanks,

Interesting. I just got an online BT offer with CIBC that's nearly like my snail mail promo: 1% transfer fee for 10 months, but this promo needs to be activated a month earlier than the physical one I got.

You got it by logging into your account on the CIBC website, or on the telephone application?
