Laundry Laminate Countertop DIY?
Just wanted to know how easy it is to add a Laundry Laminate Counter top. Builder charging $1200 for this. Can this set up bought at Big Box stores and install?

Depends how big the space is, you can probably get quartz for that price

The install can be quite easy if the washer/dryer are in an enclave (U shape) as the countertop is supported on 3 walls by a 2x3 screwed to studs....counter top sits on the 2x3. The counter top is also supported from floor to its bottom by (ideally) another section of the same counter top. Gives a nice, finished appearance....if the counter top is 90-120" or so the support is placed at 60" so the washer/dryer are boxed in.

Thanks, laundry is closed in u shape with dry wall all three sides.

Stupid easy. Check the restore even. Cutting countertops easy with a circ saw, decent blade, masking tape, straight edge and 10 measures before you cut.
