I bought one earlier today, just cracked it open and I have to say that it is actually decent (I am not a big Canadian whisky drinker, I prefer scotch) .

It is woody, smooth (not much of an alcohol burn) and has a nice nose.
My only issue with it is that it is just a tad too sweet for me.

I am drinking it neat but I think that the sweetness might play better in a cocktail of some sort.

This is a good one IMO. Its seems that people either really like it or really hate it.

It's very unique. A little sweet for my taste but that's a great price.

It's ok but was $29.99 about six months ago. Claiming it's $6 is borderline false advertising

It's not too bad for a cheaper local whiskey, Forty Creek is better in my opinion for something at the same price point. Collingwood is a low end whiskey so don't expect a highly refined taste. It has very few layers of flavor, it's more of a smooth one tone whiskey.

Personally, for the same price I would rather have a stronger 45%, darker, spicy whiskey like Dark Horse or something a little more like Lot 40 or Wiser's Legacy which are not spicy like DH but offer a lot of flavour. I've attached all the links at the bottom.

Dark Horse review 45% ~ $29.95: (you really taste the vanilla hints in this one mixed with spice)

^^^^good suggestions there although this thread would now serve better in the food and drink forum. The Dark Horse is another that has contrasting opinions and I am on the other end and dont think the blend is right (Chip and Davins reviews are very different). I do think Alberta Premium had a good idea. If I only drank Canadian whisky of all spirits I would be loading up on cases of Lot40 and Legacy.
