[LCBO] [LCBO] 62% off SDC Tawny Port Wine (Ruby too)

Was surfing around when I stumbled upon this one and had to share.

It may not be the oldest port, but for this price you can enjoy some port without waiting for a special occasion.

They actually have 2 Ports on sale, the Tawny, and the Ruby:
Tawny:

Ruby:

My coworker is a big Port guy and he made me run to the LCBO at lunch and clear them out. (Mavis & Steeles in Brampton)

Thanks for sharing the info. Maybe add a "YMMV" in the subject title as there are none whatsoever left in the Ottawa region (according to the online inventory check).

Thanks for posting, but with a sugar content of 108 g/L it’s the same as drinking Coca-Cola!
I’d rather pay a bit more for dry port—around 30g/L

Stang,

You do realize that port is a dessert style wine meant to be enjoyed in small doses. Comparing it to cola is not a fair comparison since you wont be drinking the equivalent of a can anyways. Unless of course you want to have a really good time. Thus wine has between 18 -19 % alcohol.

Thank you OP. I'm a fan of port and grabbed 8 bottles of the Tawny from the 2 Cooper location in downtown Toronto. Still 9 left there. I tried it this evening and it's not bad at all, especially considering the price.

Damn, that's a lot of sugar, considering Canada recently changed their guidelines to something like 36g of added sugar for an adult male per day. I guess moderation is the key.

Thanks OP just grabbed the last Tawny from Newmarket.
