Leaving RBC - Avion Visa Infinite with 100K points.

Leaving RBC - Avion Visa Infinite with 100K points.

Hi,

I just decided to shake things and jump on different offers.

I used to have :
RBC Rewards + (now cancelled)
RBC MasterCard cash back (now cancelled)
RBC Avion Visa Infinite
PC Financial MasterCard
Amazon MasterCard

I just jumped on:
ScotiaBank Passport Visa Infinite (no FX fees)
Amex Platinum Card
Amex Cobalt

I will not renew my RBC avion and try to find how I can use my 100K points on it. The renewal of the card is every February. I don’t know how to better use these points.
I would value flights to Montreal (from Toronto) or North America or Amazon gift card.

Any clue?

Sorry I meant flights, not trips, I’ll fix that. Unless hotels.com can be used for flights too?

If you don't want to transfer the points to Avios, Asia Miles or WestJet dollars, you could always downgrade the card to a Rewards+ card until you're ready to use the points.

Avion's fixed point redemptions could net you as much as 2.3 cpp if you want to go that route.

Once you are ready to use the points, upgrade to an Avion card and use them.

RBC has a sale on gift cards now. Not sure if it's the best deal but you should be able to get almost 1K worth of gas for your points.

What is the difference between the Platinum and Infinite? Both have AF $120 and 1 reward for $1. I can get a 35K Reward Points WB for any of them.
